There are some things you simply cannot manufacture.
King Oyo’s place in our hearts was never bought, voted for, or lobbied for. It was something we watched grow naturally with time. For many of us, he was simply part of our generation a King we grew up knowing, watching, and identifying with.
He never needed to hire bloggers, use the media, or create a narrative around himself. His presence spoke for itself. What he represented felt natural, and that is what made it special.
That kind of connection cannot be recreated through politics, money, or publicity. Some things are simply born, and they become part of who we are.
Rest in peace, King Oyo. You were, and will always remain, the King of our generation.
In 2024 should a mother be subjected to the harsh choice of choosing between taking care of her family and chasing her dreams when both can be accomplished if we are given the chance to choose the campus to attend. Thank you. @bkabumba@SPKinobe2018#ldcadmissions
@KiryowaKk Iam a mother of 3 kids who was admitted to the mbarara campus. Iam the primary care taker of my 3 children. I raised my issue with ldc and was told to just drop off my letter for change of campus to the data entry office which to be honest did not seem very promising.
Healthy people will engage in reciprocal relationships. There will be give and take. There will be mutual needs being met. You will not feel like you're being taken advantage of or chronically exhausted by the relationship.
It's healthy to take the time you need for yourself. To focus on yourself and the things that keep you physically and emotionally well. Anyone that shames or guilts you for doing this is revealing they don't respect boundaries.
It's healthy to say:
"I think you should talk to a therapist"
"I'm not available right now"
"I'm spending some time with family and will catch up about this later"
"I cannot lend you money"
"I am not sure I can do anything else to help the situation"
"Healthy people don't keep score."
If someone says 'after all I've done for you' and uses this to guilt you, it shows they are attempting to control your behavior.
