Big story here from @RobWaugh74: scores of Harry & Meghan 'stories' are being manufactured by online casino sites, citing 'sources' such as psychics and lip-readers. @Betfair admits "there is no connection between Betfair and Harry and Meghan".

Why did the British media believe they had the right to insert themselves into Meghan's relationship with her dad in the first place? Why should Meghan have to answer to the media or the public about why she wasn't in touch with her dad? Why did BM & public think they had the
You rightly acknowledge that outsiders cannot know what has happened inside a family to cause estrangement. Why does that caution disappear when the family happens to be royal?
You can criticise Harry and Meghan’s public statements. But “she destroyed the Royal Family” is a sweeping accusation, and nothing in your post substantiates it. What evidence makes Meghan responsible for Harry’s decisions, his relatives’ decisions and the breakdown of those relationships?
Harry is an adult with responsibility for his own choices. So are the other members of his family. Assigning their collective agency to one woman requires considerably more than your disapproval of her.
If we should acknowledge the limits of our knowledge when discussing Meghan’s estrangement from her father, the same principle applies to Harry’s estrangement from his family. You do not have to like either of them to apply a consistent standard.
“We don’t know what happened behind closed doors” cannot stop at the palace gates.
Unlike Piers Morgan and many others in this country, we should recognise a fundamental principle of fairness: Meghan should not be held responsible for the actions of her father, nor should she be subjected to public criticism over matters entirely beyond her control.
Whether people like or dislike Harry and Meghan is a matter of personal opinion, and everyone is entitled to their own view. However, that does not justify dragging her name, her husband or, worse still, their children into controversies for which they bear absolutely no responsibility.
Whatever her father may or may not have done is a matter for him alone. It is neither Meghan’s responsibility nor that of her family. Attempting to manufacture headlines by exploiting those family connections is deeply unfair, wholly unnecessary and, frankly, inexcusable.
There comes a point when common decency must prevail over the pursuit of publicity. We should draw a line under this now. The actions of a parent are not the responsibility of their children, and no family should be made to suffer simply because their name generates headlines.
Enough is enough. Leave Meghan and her children out of it.
@ayesleft The authorities informed her. Who would she report to?
Police: We suspect your Dad is a paedo.
Meghan: I think my dad is a paedo.
Police. Yes, we just told you that.
Meghan: I'd like to report it.
Police: We've just reported it to you.
Meghan: Should I tell you now?
Police:...
Some corners of the internet are questioning why Meghan didn’t do more in 2018. The obvious answer: She was following MET and Palace guidance.
(reminder: we only know she was alerted to a letter with disturbing allegations against her father, not what those allegations were.)
