One of the other reasons we are where we are as a country is our lack of ownership. It's always someone else's problem or it shouldn't be your problem bc it doesn't belong to you. There's a section of the farm that people from behind us like to cross. We've told them many times
Zambians, we’re funny people.
The US withdraws their help, help which they provided for free, BUT we still want them to produce evidence to support their decision?
I think as a society, we’ve become too entitled.

Yesterday while at the barber, I almost collapsed😭😂. I got there, my guy was finishing up someone, so I sat to wait. A young man comes through, I think 13 or 14 years old. He sat next to me and looking at his hair, he looked like a hair enthusiast. It was long and stylish and all that.
Seeing as I was next with my usual guy, his option was barber number one. Thing is, barber number one is not so great when he has had a drink. Yesterday, he looked like he had a drink. So, I was concerned about this young man's hair because I know hair can be a big deal for people who love their hair.
Me to kid: This your first time here?
Him: Yes. I've never cut from here.
Me whispering: Oh okay. I think you should use my barber. If you're not in a hurry, he can cut yours after I'm done. He does a good job with your kinda hair.
Him: Thanks, Uncle Jonah.
Me to myself: Oh cool. He even knows me? Problem solved. 😂😂
Moments later, my guy is cutting my hair, I even doze off a bit, only to find the youngster on my left, being cut by barber number one. I think eh, maybe he is in a hurry. As I'm thinking, barber number one calls my name as he is cutting the kid's hair.
Barber number one: Mr. Jonah, mwamuona first born wanga?
Me: Uti?😭😭
Him: Uyu wamene nigela siisi. Ndiye first born uyu, then babili nima girls.
Me: Oh! Mwakusha yama. Mwakusha!😭😭😭😭😭😭
Him: Manje tinkala kutali, so amagelesa kuma guys mukomboni.
I was deeaaaad. I'll never try to help a stranger😭😭
(And yes, he botched his kid's hair💀💀)
Physical abuse doesn’t just start randomly with a punch or a slap…most abusers start with emotional abuse first before they begin to physically abuse their victims…they break them down into believing they cannot be loved by anyone else…so they stay… its easy to talk…
