You should be masking by default.

With everything we know about how COVID is transmitted it’s ridiculous we don’t have mandatory masking in healthcare.

What a thread, @broadwaybabyto! Appalling. I ask every provider, "Would you please mask for me?" I had one tech refuse, otherwise they do. I admit if I'm in a situation (e.g. ER) with many unmasked providers, I don't feel I can halt the process to get them to mask.

They confidently told me “new science shows you only have to wear one when you’re sick”.

I reminded them that asymptomatic transmission is real and that I’m immunocompromised & have been hospitalized for a cold…
