Taxi Now Group has been building something for the licensed taxi trade. Today we’re putting everything on the table.
We are a driver-owned company. No investors. No corporates. No outside interests. Everything we do is for the trade.
We have three divisions. Taxi Now App. Taxi Now Group. And Taxi Now Academy — launching early 2027.
But first — the VAT campaign.
A little while ago we wrote formally to HM Treasury demanding the removal of VAT on licensed London taxi vehicles. We received a formal response from Daniel Tomlinson MP, Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury.
Their position — taxis carry smaller groups of passengers on a discretionary basis and fall outside zero-rated passenger transport.
We disagree. Strongly.
Every licensed London black cab is legally required to be fully wheelchair accessible under the Equality Act 2010. Drivers must carry wheelchair passengers by law. No exceptions.
In the November 2025 Budget the Government protected VAT zero-rating on Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles through Motability — because wheelchair transport is essential, not discretionary.
So why does a disabled passenger in a Motability WAV get VAT zero-rating, while the licensed black cab driver legally required to carry that same passenger pays 20% VAT on a £77,500 vehicle?
The fleet has fallen to fewer than 14,000 vehicles. New driver licences fell from 179 in 2020 to 107 in 2025. The cost of entering this trade has never been higher.
We sent our rebuttal. We are not stopping.
Before launching this campaign we reached out to established trade organisations hoping to work together. Those approaches did not progress. Silence was not an option. We pressed ahead independently.
We are asking you to read this, share it with every driver you know, and decide for yourself.
This trade deserves better. We’re building it.

The restriction was originally imposed by an EU directive, which created a legal barrier.
In 2016, HM Treasury stated that EU VAT rules prevented either zero-rating or a VAT exemption on the purchase of taxis.
Brexit changed that. The EU constraint no longer applies, and there appears to be no legal obstacle preventing HM Treasury from introducing VAT zero-rating for the purchase of a ZEC/WAV taxi.
The barrier is no longer one of law. It is one of political will.
@metpoliceuk super clever robo car LD73PHM stops on green light in cycle box, waits for light to go red, then drives on through the red 😂 Cyclists carry on as usual. 08:15 Thursday 24th July 2026
👁️People are covering their faces to avoid live facial recognition surveillance.
UK police? Grabbing them off the street for not complying & demanding their details.
Reminder: Covering your face while walking isn’t a crime.

👁️Facial recognition cameras are being rolled out in the UK, posing one of the greatest threats to privacy in living memory.
If we don’t set clear limits now, our rights to privacy, free speech & protest are all at risk.

Take the Pledge. Post it. Scrap Digital ID.

"I don't want there to be a universal log in where the government can just 'switch you off'"
- @DecentraSuze
Scrapping the official Digital ID scheme is only the first step
We must also stop other government systems evolving into a de facto Digital ID through expansion, function creep or the loss of offline alternatives
This is why The Pledge still matters: not just to stop one Digital ID scheme, but to ensure the same outcome isn't reached through a different route

@horrifiedofhh Utter nonsense.
The taxi stopped suddenly to allow another cyclist to stop and mount the pavement, and continue cycling!
Every road user has a duty to leave sufficient stopping distance so they can react safely if the vehicle in front has to brake unexpectedly.
@horrifiedofhh@seanpaulday The road space in front of the box junction had plenty of space for the cyclists and taxi but the cyclist in front of the taxi stopped suddenly and I considerately
🚨 BREAKING: Elon just nuked the entire media playbook in under 90 seconds.
Journalist: “You support the far-right!”
Elon: “No. You support the lunatic left.
What was completely normal 10-15 years ago is now called ‘far-right’…
because your side went completely insane.”
Safe cities. Secure borders. Biological reality. Common sense.
None of that is “far-right.”
It’s just not crazy.
The Overton window didn’t shift right.
The left sprinted off a cliff and started calling everyone who didn’t jump “extremists.”
Elon said it out loud.
And the media still can’t cope.
Lunatic left.
He’s 100% right.

How ideologically corrupted do you have to be to care more that the perpetrator fits your political narrative than acknowledge that a genuine problem exists?
It is time we all removed ourselves from the dogmatic mindset that treats ideology as more important than the observable sources of danger.
Just how long ago was No 10 in Manchester organised? Some interesting information has emerged. Public always the last to find out, yet we are the ones paying. #labour#manchester#government
Brilliant video exposing the FABIAN SOCIETY, the network that runs the machine behind our government.
Now here's what it doesn't tell you.
MAXIMUS judges the sick and disabled for the DWP. The same MAXIMUS funds the very think tank that shaped Labour's manifesto.
They got through the door in 1884. Today that same door has a PRICE LIST, and the people paying hold government contracts.
Watch the video first. Then look at how it works NOW.
The Fabians tell you themselves. Every Labour Prime Minister has been a Fabian. 141 Labour MPs. More than HALF the current cabinet. Reeves, Miliband, Streeting, Mahmood, Healey, Cooper. And now Burnham, who wrote for their pamphlets and spoke on their platforms for years.
Their own words. Labour's manifesto was shaped by Fabian values and filled with Fabian ideas.
That's not a conspiracy. It's a business model and it isn't even hidden. On their website, right now, sits a page marked PARTNERSHIPS. An open invitation to work with them on policy, with an external affairs director to greet you at the door.
Not a shadowy cabal in a smoke-filled room. There's a contact form. So follow it through.
Corporate money goes in one end. Meta. Lloyds. Maximus. Policy and ministerial access come out the other.
The firm paid to decide if a disabled person keeps their benefits is bankrolling the society that writes the government's script.
This isn't abstract. These are the people who set your bus fare. Who taxed your local into closing. Who decide whether your neighbour keeps their money. You just never saw the room where it happened.
The video shows you the wolf got in. Here's the bit nobody says out loud.
It now charges admission at the same door. And the ones paying hold contracts with the very government it built.
It's all public. That's what should terrify you.

Another Uber/PH driver licensed by @WolvesCouncil has been sentenced to 16 years in prison for crimes committed in Leicester- including sexual assault, rape carrying a knife, and threats to kill.
Additionally, images of children were found on his phone.
The quicker @andyburnham gets to grips with cross border hiring, the better.
@basedandbougie@AliDawah1@JeffBezos This is the same @AliDawah1 who, during a video presentation, graciously allowed his wife to communicate with him by writing on a whiteboard or signaling that she was under duress by blinking twice.
