Got my first @NYCSanitation ticket for not having recycling bin. Home Depot has not had recycling bins each time I’ve gone. I guess I’ll just go fuck myself.
President Donald Trump has approved the use of a firing squad for the execution of Nidal Hasan, who was convicted in the 2009 massacre at Fort Hood in Texas. https://t.co/Nj41tf1GMr
The NYYRC is pleased to welcome former New York Council Minority Leader @JoeBorelliNYC as an Honored Guest at our 114th Annual Gala! 🍾
A longtime public servant and leading conservative voice in New York, Joe has built a reputation for standing his ground, speaking with conviction, and fighting for common sense in Staten Island and now across the five boroughs. We looking forward to hosting him again this year!
Bravo @JoeBorelliNYC for calling out @CNN's #jaredkushner story where only the indicting headline is visible to non-paid subscribers not the full story. He also blasted the segment that @abbydphillip was doing on that story. My latest @newsbusters@theMRC https://t.co/w3fwvKFSkT
Please keep NYPD Detective Jose Mercedes in your prayers. He was stabbed repeatedly during an attempted robbery while off duty and reportedly STILL chased his attackers before collapsing. Remarkable courage. Praying for his full recovery and for justice for those responsible.
Someone please help me understand this argument
“Landlords are greedy and are ‘hoarding’ apartments” (which make zero money and no there is no tax write off for unrealized income)
1. The vacant units cannot legally be rented as-is, they require significant investment that they’ll never get back and that’s why they stay empty
2. Landlords are in the business of renting, that’s the whole model. The idea that they’re both greedy but “hoarding” empty apartments makes absolutely not sense. If an empty lot can’t return its investment, housing won’t be built there.
3. She’s right. There are thousands of families languishing in shelter each night. Families our members would happily house but it is regulation and the law that prevent this from happening. In fact, we told NYC we would take CityFHEPs voucher holders at the voucher rate and that would be enough where a large amount of the empty units would be renovated for these families. We were told no.
So once again, who is actually working to house more New Yorkers and who is on a quest to hurt property owners?
So let me understand this. Ive been loyal to @united for years, 2 credit cards, book hotels/cars thru https://t.co/OSujaWgr2t, etc. but now I may lose upgrades and mileage opportunities to folks who’ve flown the airline exactly one time?
Wonder if @Delta will match my status?
