@jameshennighan_ @nufcpb Nah, taking 55 players per squad x 32 teams, that's about 1800 players
Even in Europe's top 5 leagues, you've got about 20 players per squad x 20 teams per league, which is about 2000 players
You have more top league footballers than NFL players
@ThomasJDesign One captain chooses the side of the pitch, the other captain chooses which half to kick off. We must have chosen to kick off in the second half
@SocialEngland66 If anything is being tweeted from that account, I'd assume it's a lie until you research it yourself
Nothing but lies designed to rile you up
@AlexWFC__ We were doing nothing last season, no playoffs no relegation- absolutely no need to throw a mil at a player when we could get him free at the end of the season anyway
@louorns Nah, the specs everyone is talking about *seems* to be exaggerated - it should be able to run on a decent-ish laptop if it's the only program running
@AMP86793444 @bobbyc137 Hahahah edgbaston first session would like a word - two umpires call back to back going India's way, turned the game, and probably the only reason they've won a test
You win some you lose some, think luck has been pretty even this series
@TWDY0413@nimishdubey@karthikeyancbe What would Lord Pant like to be bowled? Half volleys? Full tosses?
Nair showed good sportsmanship which is great - but the equivalent in this example would be Woakes continuing to field while injured, and Nair not running anytime he hits it to Woakes, which would be ridiculous
@theArCh07 @ESPNcricinfo So sledging/chat back is a meltdown then?
Then every cricket match ever has had a meltdown at some point by your definition.
Absolutely no abuse of any kind, no dangerous behaviour at all. Let's stop sensationalising the normal.
@IndrajitGhose6@chetan_kaul@finnysteve Concussion subs were brought in because they're life threatening, and you don't want teams to force a player to play through an injury of the brain
Most body injuries aren't life threatening, so if the player/team wants to play with the risk, that's on them
@Naishilm@tds122 No, I promise this is the same view that most England fans have about the T20 WC (even though we won that recently).
Rightly or wrongly, the only matches which excite England fans are ODI WC, Ashes, tests with India (+ tests with others to lesser extent). WTC not at all
@TBBodell@Sam_ucko It's looking like the second option - knew we wouldn't get relegated, so just spend no money and coast for a year until they made a proper investment and push in this year
