@NUFCMurph What about when Palace went out on the piss and played half a team against West Ham? Everyone called it an “opportunity” for West Ham. Can’t have it both ways.
@kellios@mionomedev Already answered that in my previous tweet. Frank was too risk averse to use him deeper because he’s young and will occasionally give the ball away. Didn’t play well today, granted. First start in a few months, I believe.
@kellios@mionomedev Bergvall is a brilliant ball carrier and has been horribly misprofiled all season. He is not a 10 and never will be. He needs to play deeper but none of the managers we’ve had so far this season have been brave enough to risk him there because he’s young and will make mistakes
@poetfish2 Between Bale and Kane we went a decade without selling of note. We were 1-2 players away and few itched for moves. We are miles away now. Some will want out and have no faith in another false promise we can challenge. Keeping them rots the changing room and halts progress anyway.
Actually think this is something Spurs need to accept as a reality, for the next few years at least. If we hold our best players hostage when they have aspirations to play at the highest level which we can’t meet, it will deter the best young talents from joining us. #THFC#COYS
“Brighton are a stepping stone”
So are Spurs.
As soon as Modric, Gareth Bale and Harry Kane became world class, they couldn’t hold on to them.
You’re Spurs. You’re not in the elite 1%.
@kennycunny@ben_bowman_ We’re currently the worst in the league, struggling to see where the next result comes from (Palace this week maybe?). After international break we get 4-5 players back and would like to think we then have enough to get 2-3 wins and get out of it. But we’ve forgotten how to win
@Kish_P14@luka_thfc I think there are more creative options than Poch. There are more exciting options too. I don’t see the argument there are more reliable options than Poch? He’s the only manager out there who has proven he can do the job, build a bond with fans, style of play, youngsters etc.
@scrimthfc@4rt_yy@ProudN17 Nobody would disagree with that. Gallagher was the right signing at the wrong time in my opinion but sometimes you have to move when a player is available or risk missing out. Judge the squad balance after summer window.
