This evening’s Myths & Mysticism concert at the King’s Hall conducted by the scintillating @JoeHearson was orchestral poetry in motion.

From Mozart’s enchanting fairytalesque Overture to the Magic Flute, to Dvořák’s elegiacal The Noon Witch, Arnold Bax’s atmospheric Tintagel, and the beguiling, mood-varying finale’s recurring violin in Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade, this was a joyous evening of music.

I’ve had a really heartwarming and uplifting evening at the @NewVicTheatre watching their production of Big Big Sky by Tom Wells. Powerful and hard-hitting in places, but full of joy and life, it’s definitely worth a visit if you’ve got a free evening between now and 24th July.
