That happened to me with my old beagle Jake. I found him old, skinny as hell, DEAF and alone in a thunderstorm in the woods. Posted him everywhere, called everywhere, looked on every page.. no one was missing him. But still a few people were like “let him go he’s just lost and you’ve stolen someone’s dog.” I was like ffs he’s old he’s thin he can’t hear he’s not chipped he has no collar, hes in tact, he’s been DUMPED!!!! He’s mine now! Lived out his golden years with me.

Anyway ignore them, they’re everywhere. And thank you for saving that cat.

Me: hey Folks, here’s a picture of a cat I found and the area I found it.
I met with a vet this morning in order to treat her for fleas and worms. Will look for a microchip on Wednesday.

At this point, the conversations become solely focused on my efforts to steal a cat.

I explained that if I was trying to steal a cat, posting a picture of it and asking if anyone lost it would be the logical first step for any criminal mastermind like myself.

Imagine driving to your elderly father's house to check on him, only to realize a completely different family has moved inside.
That is the nightmare Nora Rowland is living through right now.
Her 75-year-old father, Robert, lived in Conway, SC. He was a vulnerable adult suffering from Parkinson’s and a brain injury.
Nora lived in Maryland but Face Timed her dad every single week.
Suddenly, communication dried up. Becoming deeply worried, she drove all the way down to South Carolina to check on him.
When she pulled into his driveway, the front door had been changed. A Ring doorbell camera was newly installed.
She pressed the doorbell. His caretaker, nurse Sarah Smalls, answered through the camera with devastating news: Robert had passed away three days prior.
But it gets worse.
Nora discovered the nurse and her family were already living inside the house.
Weeks before his death, the caretaker had been named power of attorney. She then executed a quitclaim deed, transferring Robert's entire home to herself for just $5.
Bank statements later revealed money was being funneled from the father's account into the nurse's account even after his death.
The county Register of Deeds stated their office only checks if the paperwork meets basic legal requirements, not the motives or ethics behind it.
Now, a grieving daughter has been left with absolutely nothing, fighting a massive legal battle to challenge the deed and reclaim her family's home.
The Conway Police Department has officially launched an investigation into the matter.

We already call ending an inconvenient life at the beginning “choice.”
