Never confuse the way things are with the way things ought to be
All thoughts my own
@epaley Very insightful and more succinct then I've ever been able to explain. I always spent more time on understanding where the growth limit was for my startups. It's an exercise of understanding where efficiencies will run out on sales.
Remarkable video from El Salvador.
Nayib Bukele gathers every single official in the executive branch of his government and then announces a surprise.
He asks the Attorney General to investigate all of them for bribery.
@John_T_Caldwell@EdKrassen I think you're missing the point as population becomes increasingly senior that puts more pressure on working age folks to support parents directly or through tax
As population goes down = less people buying less things and in our current models that's just decades of recession
@John_T_Caldwell@EdKrassen In about 30 years every working age person will be supporting 2 retirees. That will strain social security systems and Def makes it more expensive to raise children.
Our economic models collapse when every year economy gets smaller and it's going to be like that for decades.
@mrexits Lol why would you build it through thousands of miles of rural Canada instead of using existing highway structure through the US?
Any who has been to Alaska knows how ridiculous and expensive it would be to build thousands of miles of highway through marshes and permafrost
The number of startups where "automation or AI means" someone in the developing world is doing a menial job for $2/hr is much larger than people think.
Looking at you sidewalk delivery robots.

@mintz4assembly A subset of design convergence is regulatory convergence. At that point regulators stop being innovators and become hall monitors.
You can build past this malaise with time, money, and a competitive advantage. I counsel aerospace startups to design for regulation.
