All you need to know about the State of Illinois, the IRB, and the owner of Hawthorne is to read this...
...Hawthorne owes between $100 million and $500 million to more than 3,000 creditors, some of whom have been chasing that money for more than 20 years.

Anyone with more than a few brain cells working should be asking...How can a State sanctioned entity owe $100-$500 million to creditors?? The IRB should never be thought of as a regulatory body. It is mind boggling the financials could be close to this bad and people's livelihoods were swept away.
