27 years ago this week, Ghostbusters was first released on DVD, featuring what many still consider one of the greatest interactive menus ever seen on the platform.
HEAR ME OUT:
We make new "Amish" towns, but instead of 18th century stuff, it's just the 90's forever.
We'll have Blockbuster and Pizza Hut, and no social media (but you can use AOL instant messenger).
To every pro wrestling fan in The Hudson Valley, Poughkeepsie, New York & anyone who drives over states lines…
This one’s for you. 🗽

Here's your first look at Ghostbusters: Night Shift.
Coming to Netflix in 2027. New York City, 1994. Five years after the Ghostbusters took the Statue of Liberty for a walk, a new supernatural threat hits the Big Apple. Now, a group of scrappy New Yorkers must suit up, face their fears, and bust some ghosts.
Still remember when I was supposed to see this with my summer camp that year. The theater we went to wasn’t playing it, so our group ended up going for ice cream instead. Everyone else was jealous when we got back. Good times.
Today is the 30th anniversary of the most iconic promo in WWE history.
June 23, 1996. Stone Cold Steve Austin won the King of the Ring tournament in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, defeating Jake Roberts in the final. Following the match Austin delivered an unscripted promo targeting Roberts' born again Christian gimmick.
"You sit there and you thump your Bible, and you say your prayers, and it didn't get you anywhere. Talk about your psalms, talk about John 3:16. Austin 3:16 says I just whipped your ass."
The Austin 3:16 shirt became the best selling piece of merchandise in WWE history.

After leaving the WWF in 1992 following her divorce from Randy Savage, Miss Elizabeth used her communications degree from the University of Kentucky to pursue a career in mainstream broadcasting.
In early 1994 she resurfaced on national television as a color commentator and correspondent for ESPN covering offshore powerboat racing. Her work aired under ESPN’s motorsports program ESPN SpeedWorld. She conducted pier side interviews and provided analysis for events on the Offshore Powerboat Tour.
She appeared as Liz Hulette and deliberately distanced herself from the Miss Elizabeth persona.
By early 1996 Eric Bischoff had convinced her to return to wrestling as part of WCW.

#OnThisDayInWWE 30 years ago at The Great American Bash 1996:
Hall and Nash punch and powerbomb Bischoff off the stage!
We had never seen any announcer in the WWF or WCW attacked like this before
Poor "Ken Doll"
