@EdHolman169371@JasminLaine_ As a self proclaimed "Christian Catholic, husband, father" as per your profile... this is your response to someone with a different opinion than your own? You certainly don't hold the values I'd associate with any of those titles.
@TransparentEner@acoyne A lawyer for the prosperity project has an argument in favor of the cause? He thinks the ruling is wrong? I'm shocked ๐คฃ The judge is wrong about the law isn't a very good argument. I don't think this appeal will get far. Maybe go through the correct process๐คทโโ๏ธ
@MarcNixon24 Well we always import from the US but Canada has been importing more than we export since 2024. Our hydro reservoirs are low due to climate conditions and there's been a growth in data centers. This guy can't even frame something negative without lying to you.
@JimFergusonUK You'd effectively be asking to pay less tax than other citizens. Alberta doesn't get a special federal tax bracket. There's no bill sent to Alberta. It's just an equation to distribute federal funds to keep public services running. So no one stole you money. You paid your taxes.
@StephenPunwasi This law was formed based on the conflicts that came out of Quebec's separation attempts.... So we've already heard and seen their response.
@TransparentEner@acoyne The conflict between Quebec separatists and First Nations is in part what led to the Clarity Act being established. Which separatists ignored when they didn't consult First Nations. So you're arguing for something anti democratic and unlawful if you want to a law and a court.
@DonaldFindlay14@FoodProfessor@MRwhitenorth We already subsidize grocers through multiple programs. Nor are these numbers truly accurate. They include damaged and spoiled products, fraud and internal errors. It's corporate propaganda.
@FoodProfessor Not pointed out by the expert is that these numbers include internal theft, operational loss, vendor fraud and errors. It's also value, not cost. They're losing that much in value. If they lost that much in cost they'd have no profits. But yeah, let's all feel bad for Galen ๐
@AlbertaLeonidas The dispute with first Nations during the Quebec referendums led to the clarity act which requires you consult them. You can't just ignore treaties with the crown and impose your will over others.
@therealmrbench Well Quebec doesn't have the same treaties Alberta does. So if Smith is pointing to Democratic rights she must be for respecting those treaties and the stakeholders involved. Otherwise it would be undemocratic.
@MelissaLMRogers Justifying something you want while ignoring laws and rights of others the undemocratic part you dolt.
You don't get to ignore stakeholders that have existing treaties with the crown because you want something.
@mario4thenorth Who the judge is has nothing to do with this. It's pretty clear this is problematic. It ignores treaties and the rights of others beyond that there's privacy, fraud and consent issues with the list. You're justifying something undemocratic because you don't like liberals.
@Roman_Baber@MarkJCarney As an elected MP are you making an accusation that the governing party pays the media for favorable coverage? Are you also saying that our media dabbles in hateful and victim content? That the purpose of the online harms bill and as an mp your know that. I think that's slander.
