My college cross-country and track coach passed away. Even though it’s been 35 years since I ran for him, I still apply the lessons he taught me about life and running. I am grateful I went to @uindy, was part of @UIndyAthletics and ran for Coach England. He made us better.

Congratulations to @MeekHaley and @MrJLSimpson for finishing the first unofficial @bcscschools ultramarathon. They ran to all our local schools and covered exactly 45 miles. Proud of you both. You ran tenaciously. Ignore the old guy in the back-he only ran 23 miles with them

It’s no mystery I’ve been in a prolonged slump lately. Today, @MeekHaley challenged me to break out of it by going for a run. This is us 20 miles later. To paraphrase Forest Gump: sometimes you just have to run.
