Texas Republicans still have an active resolution rejecting red flag laws and waiting periods when anyone attempts to acquire a gun. The stated whereas facts in the resolution are very disturbing and read:
"Whereas those under 21 are most likely to be victims of violent crime and thus most likely to need to defend themselves. Whereas “red flag laws” violate one’s right to due process and are a pre-crime punishment of people not adjudicated guilty. Whereas waiting periods on gun purchases harm those who need to acquire the means of self defense in emergencies such as riots. ..."
These Republican whereas assumptions of fact in the resolution have not been rescinded, disavowed or changed in any way. The Republicans have controlled Texas for the last 25 years and their whereas facts stated above have empowered all the mass shooters in Texas including those at Robb Elementary and in El Paso. Ask Republicans at town halls about these "facts". It is time to raise the minimum age to possess a gun to 21 and even further to 25 as the minimum age would have preempted even more mass shooters. If you want to stop mass shooters it begins with your democrat voting.

I am Joe Pool, the 428th Judicial District Judge of Texas and the only candidate out of 3 in the Democratic Primary that has ever voted in a Democratic Primary. I request your support, endorsement and vote for my re-election to this important post in the March 3, 2026 Democratic Primary. I am being challenged by 2 Republicans in the Democratic Primary. One is the former 4-term Republican I beat in 2022, now running as a Democrat. The other is currently an assistant prosecutor for Caldwell County and married to a police officer. That’s great, except, she is not qualified to sit as juror or judge because of her conflicts and appearance of impropriety.

Texas Republicans still have an active resolution rejecting the certified results of the 2020 presidential election and declaring that President Joe Biden was not "legitimately elected."
The resolution reads:
"We believe that the 2020 election violated Article 1 and 2 of the US Constitution, that various secretaries of state illegally circumvented their state legislatures in conducting their elections in multiple ways, including by allowing ballots to be received after November 3, 2020.We believe that substantial election fraud in key metropolitan areas significantly affected the results in five key states in favor of Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. We reject the certified results of the 2020 Presidential election, and we hold that acting President Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. was not legitimately elected by the people of the United States. ..."
This resolution has not been rescinded, amended or disavowed by The Republican Party Of Texas and should be used to rescind them.
