Remember when replacing the heating element on a dryer was a non-invasive process? Now you have to practically disassemble the whole appliance. I also remember when replacement parts weren’t $200. So, yeah, I’ve kinda become the “back in my day” old guy.
I’m looking for the EULA for Microsoft Fabric. Anyone have a link? Or maybe just point me in the right direction? I’d like to make sure we can create PowerBI dashboards and make them available to clients outside our organization.
"Unfortunately, many people use statistics like a drunkard uses a lamp post - for support rather than illumination." - unknown.
Fortunately, the SQL Server query optimizer doesn't do that.
Watching the Nashville / Miami match on Univision since I don’t have AppleTV. The Spanish I’ve learned via Duolingo allows me to recognize a word every once in a while.
listened to book 48 of 2023: Smart Brevity by Jim VandeHei, Mike Allen, and Roy Schwartz. It was interesting and I agree with the premise that we need to be more concise in our communication today. Oddly, I think this short book could have been more concise.
Is there a EULA for PowerBI Premium Per Capacity? Can someone point me to it?
I’d like to create dashboards and reports that can be viewed by people outside our org and don’t want to run afoul of licensing.
Thanks!

listened to book 47 or 2023: The greatest Beer Run Ever by John “Chick” Donahue. An interesting recount of a young man who wanted to show his friends serving in Vietnam that the folks back home appreciated them.
listened to book 46 of 2023: When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi. Some books don't live up to their hype, to the recognition given by influencers, etc. This one does. I really enjoyed it.
Listened to book 44 of 2023: Legion by Brandon Sanderson. Very good book with an interesting premise. If you haven’t read any of his books, give one a try. I’ve enjoyed the ones I’ve read.
@WriteWithKush Brandon Sanderson is a excellent choice. Yesterday I finished listening to his audiobook entitled Legion. And last night I finished reading Contagion by Robin Cook. Looking for my next read now.
@DBABullDog That’s nice looking. I’ve considered Ridge but haven’t been able to convince myself that they are worth the money. Interested to hear from those that own one.
