We know that our Riflemen are not immune to the cost-of-living crisis sweeping the county. In order to help them, we are offering Tesco vouchers to those within our regiment who are most at need; hoping to free up funds for other essentials. Details and applications are on SWIFT.

@Average_S0ldier It’s not negative at all.
My point really here is that the spectrum in DE vs LE is too broad.
Every answer so far has been caveated with “but of course there are a lot who aren’t or Don’t “
It may be me over thinking the question 😉
@Average_S0ldier The approach to problem solving is a very individual aspect and lumping LE or DE together will only get a stereo typical response.
The only difference is that an LE will have more Experience as a tool
In the same respect a DE will have a less experience as a tool
@Average_S0ldier In my opinion asking the question is part of the problem.
There are out dated stereo types of what a DE or LE are.
It’s been a long time since we had a Typical LE or DE job; it comes down to KSEB and best person
There are times in life when it feels like you’re fighting an uphill battle. As Riflemen, we always have each other's backs.
If you need help with any personal battles, don’t hesitate to reach out to the available support on 0800 470 0941. #WeAreFamily
@Average_S0ldier Richie
I would agree there is an argument for a well maintained and groomed beard.
Same process as a moustache for growing in you notify the CoC of your wish to grow and then have a set time period to grow a respectable beard.
Clear guidance would be required would be required
@Average_S0ldier @The_RE_LE @majorlyimproper The team also start to build the esprit de Corp , conduct PPPs and act as the middle man when recruits transition to battalion to ensure a smooth hand over.
It’s a key role and vastly underestimated.
I’m looking forward to seeing what Richie can bring with new ideas and tech 2/2
@Average_S0ldier @The_RE_LE @majorlyimproper The Div Shepard is a role we employ at basic training ( ITC and AFC) to nurture and act as a point of contact outside of the training CoC for the regiment to recruits and vice versa.
Main tasks include education on regi traditions/history, Battalion up dates for recruit. 1/2
We would like to thank Msn Thompson for 50 years of outstanding service to both The Rifles and British Army music. He may have marched off the square for the last time, but with military music being a family affair we are sure that his will remain a familiar face. #WeAreFamily
It has been an amazing 2 Years as The Rifleman’s Adjt.
The highs of helping Rfn have been epic.
I have handed over to Capt Lee Jones and the term safe hands is an understatement.
Lee Congratulations and good luck
