Doesn't really matter who we sign or who we don't at this point. Damage has largely been done.
This disconnect is painful.
Regardless of division, I just want this club to feel like Wolves again. At the moment Fosun feels like a wedge between us. Their heart seemingly not in it anymore, and it's tearing us apart- top to bottom.
Remember.. we had our club before you, and we'll still have it when you're gone. We'll be looking up in search of hope from wherever it is we're left standing in your wake. Fine. Honestly, we don't need you, this game's about emotion- I'm not sure you've ever understood that. It was always Nuno's dream after all.
Just hand it back over and give us a chance to find joy again. Somehow. From somewhere.
Completely done with this Great Depression. This apathy and spite. Take me back to feeling like a child: Β£10 in my pocket; 3 bags of sweets for a pound (always strawberry bon bons- never chewy, shattered in your mouth- addictive); a burger forced down outside the Southbank while some bloke repeatedly sings 'win Β£500 on your (goalrush lucky 4??) pound a ticket'; a programme for Β£3 with an 18 year old Sam Vokes looking 32 on the front still stashed up the loft amongst others en mass; a bottle of coke; cavity ridden baby teeth; Mick McCarthy; Gary Breen; and a dream.
A heart full of hope.
Yep. Above all else it was a feeling. The spirit of Wolves, and what that actually meant (to me at least), and it existed long before you.
So, where did it all go?
Because honestly, I thought it was forever.
We're soulless right now.
It's crippling.
Don't know what 'Wolves' is anymore, and that's the hardest part. All I know is it feels devoid of magic. Deflated and aimless.
How can anyone benefit in any way when it FEELS like this? You can't. Even financially. Even if the numbers look good right now. It's unsustainable to create such dispirit in a game so popular because of one thing: passion. The lack of which is enough to kill any club.
It's so obvious, and I've said it before but I'll say it again:
'Football before profit and the profit will come. Profit before football and you lose both.'
Take me back to simpler times...
@wolvespremier Sniffing glue on a school night is not recommened !
The kids got the more cards than goals & assists in 40 odd games. For an attacking player that gets βin great positionsβ is shocking
