Florian Wirtz is a huge signing for Liverpool and certainly one of my favourite midfielders but fans are will get too caught up in goals and assists to appreciate what makes these players unique.
So what really sets the Premier League's attacking midfielders apart?

With the international break now here, I thought it would be interesting to look at some of the Premier League’s summer signings and give my thoughts on the most successful ones.
Some may be very surprising considering the window we just had.

And that’s Malik Tillman in a nutshell. If he can find that form again, he might take the league by storm, and could be the next key player for Erik ten Hag. If you enjoyed the thread, please do suggest someone you want me to analyse as well and tell me your thoughts.
Malik Tillman might be the next big thing to come out of #PSV, someone who looks good on the eye and proves himself as a hard worker on both ends of the pitch. His talent showed during 2025/26 but can it shine in the #Bundesliga?

He does have the potential to reach high assist numbers too, with 10 assists in 23/24 from higher xA than he managed last season. He’ll hope to find that form again in the Bundesliga from a season that may have just been a dry patch for him, not for a lack of trying.
Not to keep up the #mufc trend but "The good days are here," what is going on at Manchester United and why is it that even the advertising seems on point. Might look a bit odd if Amorim is sacked mid-season but I rate the confidence
If you haven’t done so, make sure to check out my thread on #mufc and their new signing Benjamin Sesko with 2 days to go until the #PremierLeague restarts
I don’t see where all this Sesko hate has come from.
Sure he’s not had a 20 goal season in the Bundesliga, but I can see very few other strikers worth that money in this economy.
United have done smart business and I think Sesko will explode, and here’s why…

And that’s my eye test on Benjamin Sesko. I think he’ll be a success at Manchester United, maybe not to the same level as Haaland but he has the minerals to do the job in the Premier League. Watch this space…

My final notes on him mostly revolve around the surprises he brings. I find that within RB Leipzig’s counter-attacking system he thrived using his pace in behind for a number of goals, and he’s also got some flair. Not anything to the likes of Vini Jr but it’s in his locker.
