Nasiphi Moya’s tenure as deputy mayor and current mayor has been underwhelming at best, and outright ineffective at worst.
As deputy mayor, she functioned more like a placeholder than a proactive leader. Her presence in council meetings was often marked by silence, and when she did speak, it was either to echo the mayor or offer vague platitudes with no policy backbone. She failed to establish a clear portfolio of influence or initiative. Despite numerous opportunities, she didn’t carve out any significant achievements or push for measurable reforms.
Now as mayor, the pattern hasn’t changed—if anything, it’s gotten worse. Her leadership lacks urgency and direction. The city is grappling with rising service delivery failures, increased public dissatisfaction, and a sense that the mayor’s office is asleep at the wheel. Moya has leaned heavily on PR, photo-ops, and empty slogans, while dodging accountability and providing little in the way of concrete plans or outcomes. Press briefings have become exercises in spin, not transparency.
Her inability to rally her administration or communicate a coherent vision is damaging. On core issues—housing backlogs, infrastructure decay, job creation—she has offered nothing new, just recycled rhetoric. And her dismissiveness when challenged has only deepened public frustration.
Simply put: Nasiphi Moya has not risen to the moment. The city deserves better leadership—someone with conviction, competence, and the guts to face hard truths and act. So far, Moya has shown none of that.
The unholy alliance between IDT and ASA—woven together from coast to coast—is nothing short of a damning disaster for Tshwane, plunging the city into chaos, corruption, and utter neglect!

@Fundji3 You can even approach the Canadian parliament, Australian parliament. Not to get off topic but I noticed Ramaphosa now has a “foundation” set up. Possibly to launder payments from Iran?
@Fundji3 In the 1980s the Senate voted to sanction South Africa and Ronald Reagan vetoed it because he said South Africans have always stood by our side during times of war and the senate then voted to override his veto. If only they had known what the repercussions would be.
Ramaphosa, let this sink in: Herman Mashaba—the same coward who high‑tailed out of Johannesburg—has literal blood dripping from his hands. And you? Your sanctimonious “my people” posturing doesn’t intimidate me, nor can you extradite me—free speech is my shield. You blame apartheid for the ANC’s failures over the last 31 years. For seven years you feigned blissful ignorance of farm murders until Trump’s executive order shone a harsh light on your lethal negligence. I pray he doesn’t stop there. As for Malema, if Uncle Sam won’t put him down, trust that the Boere—or the Mossad—will happily finish the job. And should you dare haul Israel before the ICC, you’ll be met only with derisive laughter. Under your ANC disaster, you’ve obliterated any semblance of standards in education, sports, and the military—so low that you wouldn’t know how to strike back even if you tried. Finally, the IDT which is in cahoots with ASA is hurting and killing your people.

Julius Malema’s threats against Orania aren’t bold—they’re reckless. When a political leader targets a lawful community for simply existing outside his ideological lines, he doesn’t champion justice—he flirts with tyranny.
Orania is not above criticism. But it exists within the bounds of South Africa’s Constitution. It’s a legal, self-sustaining community exercising rights to cultural preservation and local governance—rights that every group in this country is entitled to. Malema threatening to “remove” it by force is not only inflammatory—it’s dangerous, unconstitutional, and authoritarian in tone.
South Africa is already grappling with deep divisions. We don’t need a demagogue stoking conflict by turning peaceful communities into political punching bags. What message does it send when a politician openly threatens fellow South Africans with eradication simply for building something different?
Malema isn’t challenging oppression—he’s manufacturing enemies to rally support through intimidation. If tomorrow it’s Orania, what stops it from being any other group that doesn’t conform to his vision? That’s not leadership. That’s bullying dressed up as revolution.
South Africans must reject this kind of rhetoric—vehemently. Because once you start threatening communities for existing, you’re not fighting injustice anymore. You’re becoming the threat.
If one of the three million Boere you’ve so arrogantly spat on doesn’t put you down first once hunting season opens, rest assured the Israeli Mossad will gladly finish the job. And to you ignorant monkeys who fancy yourselves genocide’s architects: you’re nothing but blind fools dancing on the edge of oblivion. Push your luck any further, you pitiful runt Malema, and youll be six feet under before the world even blinks—trust me, nobody will shed a tear.

Herman Mashaba loves to criticize @CilliersB but here’s Herman Mashaba’s tenure as mayor of Johannesburg. The next time you wish to criticize Cilliers take a good look at your own record.
Herman Mashaba’s time as mayor of Johannesburg wasn’t a success story—it was a cautionary tale. Under his leadership, the city spiraled further into dysfunction, riddled with mismanagement, ideological obsession, and shallow populism dressed up as “pro-business” reform.
Mashaba sold himself as a businessman who could fix the city like a company. But governing a city isn’t the same as running a hair product empire. What Johannesburg got instead was a leader more concerned with PR battles and anti-immigrant rhetoric than with service delivery, infrastructure, or meaningful development. The city’s decay during his term wasn’t just coincidental—it was the result of bad priorities and worse execution.
Under Mashaba, Johannesburg saw increased urban neglect. Basic services faltered—waste collection was erratic, potholes multiplied, and water and electricity outages became more common. His administration gutted institutional capacity, purging experienced officials in the name of “cleaning house,” only to replace them with politically convenient appointments who couldn’t keep the city running.
Perhaps most damaging was his relentless scapegoating of undocumented immigrants, which turned the city into a breeding ground for xenophobia. Instead of focusing on long-term policy solutions or strengthening local governance, he pandered to fear, undermining social cohesion in a diverse city that relies on inclusion to thrive.
Mashaba claimed to stand for accountability, yet left behind a city in worse shape—less functional, more divided, and burdened with the aftershocks of his short-sighted leadership. His tenure didn’t fix Johannesburg. It accelerated its decline.

This claim is not just wrong—it’s a vicious lie designed to poison South Africa’s future with fear and mistrust! The Democratic Alliance was born in the crucible of anti‑apartheid resistance, tracing its roots back to the Progressive Party of Helen Suzman—one of the few voices in Parliament who dared stand against the apartheid regime. To accuse the DA of plotting a return to racial segregation is not only ahistorical, it’s obscene. The DA’s entire platform is built on the pillars of non‑racialism, constitutionalism and equal opportunity; its track record in the Western Cape proves that good governance, transparent leadership and service delivery aren’t crimes—they’re the very antidote to the chaos left by those who peddle identity politics and corruption!
Let’s be crystal‑clear: the DA has never advocated for separate “townships” or race‑based restrictions on where South Africans may live, work or worship. Its policies fight poverty and unemployment by expanding economic freedom, supporting small businesses and reforming education—because genuine transformation is measured by jobs created and lives improved, not by tribal tally‑marks on a ballot. Suggesting otherwise is cynical demagoguery; it insults every South African who yearns for a government that treats all citizens with dignity, irrespective of skin colour. If you care about dismantling the last vestiges of apartheid, strengthening our democracy, and forging a prosperous, unified nation, you’ll see this smear for exactly what it is: a desperate attempt by the real defenders of division to cling to power through fear-mongering. Reject it—vote for progress, not panic.
@PhumlaniMMajozi I completely agree with you but while we have a proportion of the community who has been brain washed by the government and party affiliations we need to tell them the truth. SABC is a propoganda network for the ANC. Go figure why they’re bankrupt.
It’s downright infuriating that during that orchestrated orgy of violence, destruction and sabotage in July 2021, over 300 innocent people were butchered, thousands more left battered and broken, and a staggering R50 billion ($3.2 billion) was mercilessly torn from South Africa’s economy. Gauteng and KwaZulu‑Natal—our nation’s economic powerhouses—were laid waste by looting, vandalism, riots masquerading as “political protests,” and sheer anarchy. And who’s the vile puppeteer behind this carnage? None other than Jacob Zuma’s grotesque spawn, Duduzile Zuma‑Sambudla. She remains scot‑free while the rest of us are left to clean up her blood‑stained mess. No charges? No justice? Clearly she scored the same cozy sweetheart deal that Nelson Mandela’s pampered grandson wriggled out of just weeks ago.
Ramaphosa, what the hell is your National Prosecuting Authority doing with our hard‑earned tax rands every single day when the very people who nearly destroyed this country are allowed to roam free without so much as a charge?
