@DX_Nacca First I was stuck when realized VRC doesn't allow custom scripts to run shaders. I've started thinking what can I use to change shader's floats. So the contacts and physbones step in helpful. Very blunt and hard to setup, plus some animator work. But I was happy! Now I'm happier)
VRChat Liquid works, iteration #2.
It's much more performant, and way easier to setup... though has less tilting freedom. But I think this is the way I will use it in my work.
Thank you @DX_Nacca for revealing such an elegant trick using vrc physbone as a root for rendering!
@DX_Nacca Great job, this simplifies it a lot :3 I wonder, how did you manage to get "cap" and waves on it! Sorry I'm too new to shaders to get it on my own :)
@DX_Nacca Though, answering your question, I'm not using Stencils, it's custom shader with adjustable ripples, their height, size and speed. And wobble is done via shader too, but is driven by physbones. mmm quite complex to be honest :)
@DX_Nacca Oh yeah I see, correct me if I'm wrong, here you demonstrate a stencil setup, with an object that's driven by physbone and that is masking out liquid mesh. I like this solution!
@oldmanofthefire Looking really good! I was wondering about raising the arms above shoulder height, but even if something clips, I guess it blends into the overall style and feel.
@VRC_Eterhia Hey! I like it a lot. I wonder how did you manage to animate outline, if it's outline :3 I was playing last time with texture panning in outline thickness map.
@VRC_Eterhia Hey. superb work on material, I wonder how did you manage to bring in animated stars, is it a flipbook? and highlights on main armor! Amazing
Super excited to participate in the new Avatar Marketplace!! For the first time ever Bubba or Haruki, are now ALSO available to buy in game, and more characters coming soon!
This has been an amazing journey so far, and I can't wait to see what's to come
