It’s so crazy, I remember my back used to hurt somewhat when doing lower weight RDLs.
Then I realized when I trained at heavier weights, the back pain went away.
I just had to stop being a sissy and train harder.
Most times, pain is disguised as weakness.
Weighted chin ups weekly keeps the:
- Diabetes
- Obesity
- Osteoporosis
- Mets
- Muscle atrophy
Away.
I will keep training till it’s my last day on Earth

News outlets.
Wars.
Left vs right.
Chaos at every turn.
But every time I read this book…
Every time I am surrounded by other disciples…
I realize what truly matters…
Every single one of you guys that see this post has less than 100 years to live.
Make sure every action, every step you take is toward the one who conquered death.
By no means am I perfect.
This post is just as much for me as it is for you.
But someone had to say it.
There is peace in his Word.
There is peace in Jesus.
I don’t remember the last time I felt “motivated”to go to the gym.
Motivation is like trying to hold onto sand.
You grab it, but slowly it slips through your hands until it’s gone.
Motivation is hardly sustainable, and if you need motivation everytime to do something, you will fail.
In order to make fitness a 100+ year habit, you have to make it a necessity.
“I do this or else,” Is the framework.
You don’t need motivation to pay rent, go to work, & provide for your spouse and children right? (I hope not.)
Because if you don’t do this, there are immediate consequences.
The same exact concept goes for fitness.
I have plenty of reasons why I train hard (Jesus & family mostly).
But when I was 217lbs, 30%+ bodyfat and growing, I gave myself two options:
1) Lose the weight and rebuild my life.
2) Remain where I was, succumb to my debilitating depression, and force my parents to bury their son.
Losing weight became life or death.
It became a necessity.
This is how you win long term.
In fitness, and in life.
Nothing will build you triceps and front delts more than heavy overhead press.
The truly underrated part about OHP is how much stability from the rotator cuff is required to lift overhead.
150lb strict press is no joke.
I love getting to play with new stimuli.
I’ve never tossed sandbags prior to this year, but I’ve noticed that it teaches you more coordination under load than any other exercise other than Olympic lifting.
Triple extension, proper bracing, and fluid motion is all required for the sandbag to go over the shoulder.
Highly recommend adding sandbags to your training.
December 2024 vs December 2025
Life rewards those who are consistent.
Been loving the YouTube journey since I revamped my channel back in 2023.
As long as I continue to stay consistent, I will see results in 2026
