It's a fascinating story of compassion and I hope you can tun in to hear my interview with founder Hal Donaldson.

Generations of Americans and visitors have had the opportunity to visit our national parks to enjoy some of the most beautiful places in the country. I sat down with outdoor journalist Wes Siler for a conversation about the risks visitors often underestimate and what travelers should know before heading outdoors. Jon Kyl was a friend, a colleague and someone I greatly admired. I thought he would have made an excellent justice on the U.S. Supreme Court. In my opinion, that was a missed opportunity for America.
We had a lot of laughs together. He was a really, really good man.

If you can’t win with some degree of decency, is it really worth winning? Politicians use hateful rhetoric because they think it motivates us. Are we going to take the bait?

Hear a first-hand account from Carol Lin about what it was like reporting in real-time on the 9/11 attacks, and how journalism has changed since 2001.

Best known for being the first national anchor to report the 9/11 attacks, her career spanned the aftermath of the Kosovo War, the fall of the Taliban, and the war in Iraq. We have a great episode of The John Kasich Show coming up this Saturday. I chatted with a special guest about 9/11 and the many brave Americans who became heroes that day. Here’s a hint about who my guest is!
As we remember 9/11 and the lives lost on this week’s 25th anniversary, I started the week by honoring our first responders with a climb up 110 floors. They made that climb with heavy equipment on their backs, into burning buildings, to help others. They were real heroes.
As the college football season gets underway, I wanted to reshare a fun conversation with my friends Geoff Carr and Trent Hoverman, both former members of The Ohio State University Marching Band (@TBDBITL). We talked about the discipline, precision, pressure, and camaraderie behind every performance, and the role marching bands play in making game day special across the country.

If Democrats win control of the U.S. House, as I’ve long predicted they will, they’ll have an opportunity to advance policy ideas that can help many Americans. And if they approach it the right way, they can bring some Republicans along and build bipartisan support.
For example, Congress reclaiming its power from the executive branch is a no-brainer that should draw broad bipartisan support.
I spoke with former CIA Director and retired Army General David Petraeus to get his thoughts on the Iran war and other international conflicts, and to hear about his remarkable career and what continues to drive him. It was a fascinating conversation, and I hope you’ll tune in!
