Really important news. Restore Britain/Great Yarmouth First have got the Reform Norfolk County Council’s plan to concrete over vital farmland in our constituency to construct 446 new houses halted in its tracks - it’s just been announced at full council.

A new viability study will now be undertaken to review the scheme, and its paused whilst this is carried out.

This is huge progress, and I want to thank our local councillors for successfully challenging the Reform administration.

Our legal action, and pressure from the public, has made this possible.

Although it’s been stopped for now, we now need to keep making the argument that this development is not wanted or needed, and in fact will cause huge harm to local residents.

As I have said from the start, we will work with the Reform administration to deliver for residents - this has largely worked.

But when bad decisions are being made, we will challenge it.

This is a big step in the right direction today - a really positive impact for local residents.

A message to Restore Britain members...

We are not in this to make friends. We are in this to fundamentally change how our country is governed.

We are in this to Restore Britain.

That will mean pissing people off, and we already are.

That means we're making progress.

There will be insults, there will be unpleasant names.
