Cian Tormey is not my favorite, but Weezie finally writing for Wonder Woman after all these years is amazing even if it’s just for a few issues
Honestly I’m just glad they didn’t let Tom King go to 50
⚔️ 2027 is officially DC's YEAR OF WONDER!

I remember they switched textbooks to "discovery-based learning" when I was taking algebra in 7th and 8th grade and I hated them, they were so confusing and no one would give a straight answer since you were supposed to "discover" it all on your own. Only later, in high school, when I did drills in more advanced classes—that used ancient textbooks—did I actually begin to intuitively understand algebra. Before then my understanding was somewhat to the test and vibes based.
I love how whenever Tom King comes up in the discourse, you get a round of “do you just hate Tom King for political reasons?” as if his work is so good as to be utterly unimpeachable as works of superhero fiction
This is why I thought the railing on about “why do people focus on King’s comics when him being CIA is enough!” To be REALLY short sighted.
Because then you get takes like these.
And honestly him being CIA aside, he’s a bad writer. He’s bad at his job. That is enough.
If only there was an actual comic based around these events where
- it had an original Batman villain
- the greatest anti Batman to this day
- featured Gordon at the central narrative
- held emotional weight down to a hostage
- was original
Well what you look at that
I face more ideological resistance from students today than I did 10 years ago.
Here's what I mean.
Yesterday, I had a group of 14-year-olds argue with me about capitalization.
Many of them rarely use capital letters correctly in their writing, and they genuinely believe capitalization is unnecessary, or even "dumb."
When I told them that I take points off for ignoring capitalization, they insisted it was unfair.
Ten years ago, I almost never had conversations like this.
Students might have forgotten the rules. They might have been careless. But they rarely argued that the rules themselves didn't matter.
I actually think it's somewhat embarrassing how much attribution Morrison stans give to Morrison for Damian's prominence and development when they only wrote him for less than 40 issues across seven books and six years. Tomasi and Gleason deserve a lot more credit imo.
x-men fans who refuse to read Claremont's run are the funniest CB fans ever to me. like, okay, don't read the foundation of everything the franchise is built on, bro
In the late 90s, DC came out with 4 team books that spotlighted all of its different generations (JLA, Young Justice, Titans and JSA)..What was your favorite run?
For Me? ALL OF THEMM!!
