Martin was a textbook case of wrong man, wrong club. He didn’t understand the role and neither did the men who appointed him.

His football was slow, confused, disjointed. His interviews were an explosion of buzzwords and new age platitudes.

He was one of the worst players I saw at Rangers; he was definitely the worst manager.
