Almond farmer - Martial artist - Emmy nominated motion picture editor - Writer - (Truly) Independent fllmmaker - Catholic religious consultant for film and TV
His last film credited 110 different companies, many of which likely use proprietary technologies.
Meaning Gen Ai has likely been used on his projects already and he wouldn't even have a legal right to know.
I love Masters of the Universe, but this conversation is performative
“Wildwood” director Travis Knight calls AI an “amazing piece of technology” but says, “I’m not embracing it at all.”
“I see technology as a tool, and we use technology at Laika. A pencil is technology, a paintbrush is technology, a 3D printer is technology. Technology is useful when you put it in the hands of people, when you put it in the hands of artists who can amplify their voice."
“Technology is not useful when it takes the place of the artist, and that’s the concern with generative AI,” he continued. “It’s an amazing piece of technology, but the concern is that when it supplants the artist, then we have an issue because the computer cannot speak about humanity at all. It doesn’t know what it feels like.”

@CNFantic Cool...
Why is he lying about having any idea what proprietary technologies are being used by the multitude of subcontractors working on his projects?
Other than to discourage creative competition from anyone who doesn't have a billionaire dad?
@robertliefeld I like this movie a lot, but I don't really understand most of what Travis Knight says about anything. This certainly doesn't make any sense.
@CNFantic His billionaire father gave him hundreds of millions of dollars with which he has to-date produced no fewer than 5 box office bombs.
I admit, I am a little jealous of that.
But success?
I am a huge fan of his Masters of the Universe film.
@micailagraham Being "too obsessed" with any created thing is bad. The use of the word "too" implies that a line has been crossed.
Even too much water can kill you.
@FreeSpirited888@Sachinettiyil@Pontifex "No one knows the circumstances of those women."
No one knows the circumstances of a person exercising their right to pray on a public sidewalk and no one should harass them while they are doing it.
In case any Catholics are still confused, this is also what Hollywood freaks like Mel Gibson think of you. They call themselves Catholics but in fact hate Catholics and lie about them
It is a small anti-Catholic schismatic group called Sedevacantism
Get this through your head
@DTNeeley@ChristineNiles1 What does that has to do with the Ministry of exorcism and how does it justify exploiting the ministry of exorcism as a media brand?
@DTNeeley@ChristineNiles1 What is there to fund?
There are many exorcist priests.
Every bishop is an exorcist.
Why don't they all need media branding to fund their ministries?
