@AdrienBrochier Dreaming of Russian defeat is naive. NATO in Ukraine is as existential a threat to Russia as Russian missiles in Cuba were in 1962 to USA. Just as USA didn't hesitate to bring the world to the brink of nuclear war to counter that threat Russia will react no differently now.

@Sillyshib WW2 was a unique war against a clear evil. WW1 was different. The claim of fighting to make the world safe for democracy was clearly untrue. Of the 3 Entente powers only France was a democracy. All adult German soldiers had the vote but over 30% of adult GB soldiers didn't

@ClarkeMicah Politics has no place in the judicial process or in miscarriage of justice cases. If the concept of justice is to have any meaning political considerations should be ditched. What matters are facts and evidence and how they are interpreted/applied in the given case.

@Sillyshib Hamas did an appalling act. Israel has taken advantage of that to try to eradicate the Palestinian people. Hamas are a bunch of murdering scum. The state of Israel and it's military are even worse war criminals on a much greater scale - nothing justifies their appalling crimes.

@Glenn_Diesen Irish reunification is a near certainty. Scottish independence more likely as time passes. Welsh independence perhaps less certain. The English won't like it - they will try every trick to try and cling to the last vestiges of their appalling empire but the world is changing

@ClarkeMicah We all know Trump is Trump. But on this he isn't so far out of line with traditional US policy. The USA has always opposed Britain & it's colonial legacy. Roosevelt loathed the British empire. USA only reluctantly eventually gave GB limited assistance in Falklands war
