Our goal is not only to educate students but also to empower them to become health ambassadors, sharing this life-saving information with their families, friends, and communities. Together, we can reduce the spread of cholera and build healthier, more resilient communities.
The session equipped students with essential knowledge on cholera prevention, symptoms, transmission, and the importance of proper hygiene and sanitation.
Our team conducted a Cholera Awareness Session at Asheik Jarma Primary School, Bulumkutu, Maiduguri, Borno State, Northeast Nigeria, empowering students with life-saving knowledge on proper hygiene, safe water practices, and effective cholera prevention.
This community-led approach strengthens local capacity, encourages shared responsibility, and promotes lasting behavioral change in preventing the spread of cholera. Together, we are building healthier, safer, and more resilient communities.
With guidance and technical support from the Johnbally Humanitarian Society -JHS, they have embraced ownership of the awareness campaign, ensuring that vital health messages continue to reach households long after the intervention.
