Step back in time at The Shore, Leith ⏳
Today, The Shore is known for its waterfront views, restaurants, and lively atmosphere—but over a century ago, it looked a little different. In 1910, the same stretch of water was lined with ironmongers, horse-drawn carts, and small boats. Some details remain, others have changed, but the Water of Leith still flows through it all.

Keep the walkway in good order.
Remove fallen trees and use to build a brash fence to protect drainage from mud.
Plant willow to stabilise the banks
Litter pick locally
Develop friendships
Enjoy the outdoors

Seals are often a common sight in Leith docks, but it's a first for us to hear one has worked it's way up to Redbraes weir.

Hopefully just on a fishing mission and will head back to sea after it's checked out the scenery.

@ScottishSPCA have been informed just in case.
