I assume it will do all the basics well, like walking, jumping, dancing, and fighting. :-)

Oh, and can I do all that for an affordable price.

Business people look at labor as a cost.

Robots potentially could reduce costs.

I assume Optimus will have:

1. An extremely capable generalized world model.
2. Very dexterous hands.
3. Capable of lifting a full suitcase into a Cybercab.

And do it for a price that is less than the labor cost now. Including maintainance.

I keep wondering why Elon would sell them?

He would find plenty of demand from factory and warehouse owners that need to start automating their businesses, even if they rented it for a "salary" every week.

It should be pretty close to minimum wage when it gets to scale.

Oh, and if it gets business people, instead of letting them go with Figure or some other robot, well, then it'll get consumers too.

Personally it would impress me just fine if it tosses a football at a waiting teenager, and walks over to a table where it rolls a cigar.

I was in Madrid when Spain won the World Cup.

I saw 0 violence.

0 property damage.

0 rioting.

Spain’s government later reported a total of 6 arrests, and no serious incidents.

Almost 2 million people.

Almost entirely peaceful.

When a Parisian team won the Champions League in 2026, riots broke out and trashed the city.

And it happened before that, in 2025.

And there was violence before that, in 2018, when France won the World Cup.

Guess when their celebrations were peaceful?

In 1998 - before their immigration policy created an entire population of people who didn’t assimilate.

Immigration can be great for a country.

But not when you do it without being thoughtful who you admit, how many, and for how long.
