If you don't know of Elle Bisgaard-Church yet, you will soon.
The 34-year-old DSA member led @ZohranKMamdani's successful campaign and is set to play a major role in City Hall if he wins the election.

Source says @StevenFulop was approved by @Partnership4NYC last night -- he will succeed Kathryn Wylde (who is in the job until next June) & he's Jersey City mayor until Dec. 21
Unclear if he will have to move to NYC, I'm told
NEW TONIGHT: Exactly one week after dropping his reelection bid, @NYCMayor Eric Adams is flying to Albania tonight.
City Hall says the purpose of the four-day trip is to foster business relationships for the city — not to explore any ambassadorships or future job opportunities.
“Over the next few days, Mayor Adams will travel to Albania, where he will meet with the prime minister, business and tech leaders, tour factories, and discuss new opportunities to boost economic activity and tourism to New York City,” the Mayor’s spokeswoman, Kayla Mamelak said in a statement, adding that Mayor Adams was invited by the Albanian Prime Minister.
The airfare for Mayor Adams and one staffer will be paid by the City, and his lodging (roughly $200 per night) and ground transportation ($90/day) would be gifted by the Albanian government, according to the Mayor’s office which said it was following city conflicts of interest rules and that it was easier to provide appropriate security if lodging was provided by Albania. The Mayor’s security detail will also accompany him on the trip.
In June 2025, Mayor Adams hosted an Albanian culture reception at Gracie Mansion and marched in the Albanian parade.
That same month, the New York Post reported that the Mayor’s 29 year old son Jordan Coleman - an aspiring rapper - had competed in the Albanian equivalent of American Idol, releasing an EP of several songs inspired by his travel. City Hall said the Mayor’s son will not be traveling with him.
NYC is home to the largest Albanian-American community in the US, with an estimated 60,000 living in neighborhoods including Belmont, Pelham Parkway, Astoria and Tompkinsville.
The Mayor’s public schedule for the trip has not yet been released but a spokeswoman said he would meet with members of the Albanian Parliament and Cabinet and with businesses about potential investments. He is scheduled to return to the City on Thursday.
SCOOP: @EliNorthrup has filed to run for Assembly once again – less than a week after the seat's current occupant, @MicahLasher, filed to run for Congress. https://t.co/IFTcbQlL9d
Assembly Member Micah Lasher is the front-runner to replace Rep. Jerry Nadler, but I hear that Council Member Erik Bottcher is also seriously considering running for the seat. He would run to Lasher’s left. https://t.co/J8mrbRRuVq
Honored that @TIME named me one of the top 100 most influential people in AI for my work with @agounardes on the RAISE Act.
Never thought I'd share a list with "Godfather of AI" @Yoshua_Bengio, @elder_plinius, and his Holiness @Pontifex Pope Leo XIV.

Per a source familiar, Hochul is getting pressure from House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries to take up the redistricting issue, hence the meeting.
There is nothing lawmakers can do to before the midterms, so it's maybe the guv will discuss changing the process for next time
Some new details out from the Cuomo campaign on his "Zohran's law" proposal to means-test rent stabilized tenants.
But the way this is phrased makes it sounds like he wants tenants to be rent burdened.
Former NC Congressman looks to follow same path as Staten Island DA Michael McMahon & former Brooklyn DA Liz Holtzman, both former members of Congress who became DAs.
SCOOP:
Wiley Nickel dropping out of North Carolina's US Senate race to endorse Roy Cooper and run for Wake County District Attorney instead.
The move clears the Democratic field for Cooper.

Such a joy to celebrate with our neighbors on its 25th anniversary.

There was 6K people in Frisco in 1990…its pop is projected to be 350K in the next 5 years. How did they do it? They invested its share of sales tax in infrastructure, & poured $ into schools—smaller schools—this has yielded a dozen HS to date. #wsj

NEW from me: Two staffers for City Council Member Bob Holden, Phil Wong and Alicia Vaichunas, will face off in the general election as they vie for their boss’s seat. You’d think it’d be awkward in that office at the moment, but turns out, it’s far from it https://t.co/vs0ue7kzsp
