The American Dream was never designed to favor or help the people who look as I do. Even though we are struggling like they once did before they came to riches. Our struggle means nothing to them and they don't want to see us succeed as they do.๐ก

I've never been so frustrated๐ I return to the south in just 2 weeks time to be reunited with my family for good. I don't think I can continue on chasing this unreachable delusion. Created to only favor certain people/races of this country.
I finally got to talk to another fella at work today and he says that him and a few other men here have been working to attain the american dream for over 3 years and have yet to even get a peak of the "good life"

i've now started to question the whole idea of the american dream. I see a lot of other people getting the success they are working for but of course those men are white. I've been hard at work for 7 months now and I haven't gotten anything but a hard life.
5 months in and I haven't gotten anywhere I thought that
I would at least have enough money to send my family up here but I barely have half the amount of money to send them here.
#thestruggleisreal
3 weeks later I got my first paycheck it isn't all that much more than what I made back down in the south but if I start saving up i'll soon be able to live work free

Working in this valley is no joke the air is thick, dust is everywhere you look and the people aren't very friendly but it doesn't matter the conditions, i'll do whatever it takes to achieve the american dream for my family.โฃ๏ธโฃ๏ธ
1 week in NYC I've finally settled, I got a nice cheap apartment and I got a job out in this valley close to the east egg where the rich people live maybe I could make friends with some of them and figure out the best way to success.
I've finally come up with my decision. I'm so tired of my family being discriminated against here in the south. I think they'll have a better life up in NYC. So i've decided to journey the American dream for my family and I. #finallygonnamakeitout#sosickoflivinglikethis
So i've had this thought in my head all day should I seriously move up to NYC and chase the American dream leaving my family behind for some months or continue living in the south with this low income pay that barley supports them๐
Hey guys i've been thinking ๐คthat i'm tired of living in poverty I want success, like the rich people in the east. I've been hearing a lot of people speak about this so called American Dream that allows every citizen of America the opportunity to become successful and rich. ๐ค
