Almost all the producers, writers etc who had the ability 10 to 15 years ago to change this industry by not accepting certain things are gone from the industry. You negotiate what you get!! Another set of producers have entered and we are watching. I hope we learn from the past
Being a filmmaker is crazy!
You can’t do a 9-5 unless you work for a production company.
Film is a jealous profession— it doesn’t share.
And there are times that you don’t have an idea where your next gig is coming from.
The creative industry will try to convince you that constant visibility equals relevance. But quality work will always find its way when you let go of needing to be liked and trust that your unique perspective is already valuable.
We are not all in the same boat but we are all in the same storm. Some have yatch, some have canoes and some are drowning. Just be kind and help whoever you can.

Let’s make our films.
When you start to question your religion, you would be surprised at the things you will find. Everything we believe is based on what we have been told and what we have read. We have taken it without questioning.
Even the basic conversations around religious things eg, Hair covering, women speaking in church, etc are conversations taken out of context.
I implore you. Don't defend it without questioning. This goes beyond religion. Everything you think you know, question. Find out why.
Some ideas comes like a burden.
It hits you like a lighting bolt trying to set your brain cells on fire.
Other times it flows like a river, until it begins to drown the life out of you, and the only way you can save yourself is actualizing those dreams.
