@James_HGriffin Sorry to miss you at this one. The conversation about building a better Sydney is open to all contributions, you should have come along rather than stayed in London.
Today is also the beginning of the next 12 months of the trial, which means anyone who has a demerit point on their licence is now eligible to get one removed if they remain offence-free for the next 12 months.
It’s a good challenge to take up. Succeed, and our roads are safer.
Today marks the end of the first 12 months of our demerit point scheme, and more than 1 million people will be rewarded with having a demerit point wiped from their licence.
Remember to buckle up, plan your trip, take breaks and check your speed. When it’s wet, slow down and drive to the conditions. And never drink and drive.
1.3 million NSW motorists are still eligible to have a demerit point removed from their licence, if they remain infringement free until January 17.
This is about reducing the road toll at a critical time. The more people who qualify for a point, the safer our roads will be.
Thanks to the huge efforts of truckies, the industry, Transport for NSW, the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator, NSW Police and the TWU on this progress.
This will remain a focus in 2024.
Overheight truck incidents in Sydney’s tunnel network have fallen to the lowest total in 7 years.
This is good news and means our zero-tolerance approach is paying dividends.
But we will not claim victory because just one incident can ruin the day of thousands of drivers.
Work to add capacity to the City West Link has been completed overnight, thanks to our extremely hardworking TfNSW work crew staff.
This morning we have noticed an improvement in traffic flows from City West Link on to Anzac Bridge.
I again thank all motorists for their patience.
Let me show you around our new plans for the Powerhouse Museum.
We released new designs for the $250 million project that is going to elevate the much-loved museum with world-class exhibition space focused on applied arts and sciences.
For the first time, we are conducting a survey of artists and professionals working in the music industry in a bid to build a picture of the challenges faced.

Dropped in to @bayvistaparramatta to marvel at their Rocky Mountains Ice Cream Bowl and chat about our streamlined approach to permit outdoor dining. We are making outdoor dining permanent across NSW, with a law change to cement temporary arrangements introduced during COVID-19.
The 14th annual @headonphotofest features work by 700 exhibitors from over 30 countries in 122 exhibitions across Sydney and online. I congratulate the Director Moshe Rosenzveig OAM, his team and all the artists who have contributed to Head On this year and for the past decade.
100 Climate Conversations, the ambitious climate-focused cultural project, aims to inspire action by presenting an evidence-based and empowering vision of the future. It was great to be part of the conversation at @powerhousemuseum
👷Meet our 100-tonne roadheader, which began cutting through Sydney sandstone this week! This marks the start of tunnelling on the second stage of the Western Harbour Tunnel.
