By far the best data for S aureus OM is with Bactrim +/- Rif. I do not use quinolones for staph unless i absolutely have to and that’s rare. See my review with Ben Lipsky in CID 2012. Very high rate of emergence of resistance on Tx when quinolones used to treat Staph
