They are not righteous and dutiful towards those who brought them into this world and cared for them when they could not even feed, clean, or fend for themselves. Then, when they reach an age where they can feed and care for themselves, they forget the pain, the sleepless nights, and the struggles their parents endured for their wellbeing. They think and believe that serving and being dutiful to their parents is a burden, may Allāh protect us from such evil and wicked thoughts.
And you think this kind of person is going to be a good friend of yours?! Think again.

🎥 The noble scholar, Shaikh ‘Ubaid Al-Jābirī (Allāh’s mercy be upon him) responded to these points:
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Allah Almighty said: O son of Adam, if you call upon Me and place your hope in Me, I will forgive you despite what is within you and I will not hesitate. O son of Adam, if you have sins piling up to the clouds and then ask for My forgiveness, I will forgive you without hesitation. O son of Adam, if you come to Me with enough sins to fill the earth and then you meet Me without associating anything with Me, I will come to you with enough forgiveness to fill the earth.”

Shaykh ibn Baz was asked:
“What is the wisdom behind saying Lā hawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh¹ between Hayya ‘alas-Salāh² and Hayya ‘alal-falāh³ (during the adhān)?”
He replied:
“The wisdom behind this is that the servant is weak. He does not have the ability to (even) change from one state to another except with the aid of Allāh. From that is his going to the prayer and performing it in congregation; he has no strength nor ability to do this except with (the aid of) Allāh.
So he recognises and feels his inability and his weakness, and that he has no ability to answer this call (to prayer) except with (the aid of) Allāh alone.”
