Carney has awarded a nearly $12 million Canada Revenue Agency security contract to U.S. based Allied Universal of Pennsylvania, replacing the Canadian Commissionaires who employ Canadian Veterans since 2012. Carney did this despite his pretend "Buy Canadian Policy" rhetoric.
I've said for years that the SEC's entire case was based on the sacrifice funds not being his personal funds. That argument is still available to him (because that issue never got adjudicated in court).
Wouldn't it be hilarious if he called the SEC to testify on his behalf in Finland, since the official position of the US Govt was (and still is, afaik) that the sacrifice wasn't his personal funds, and therefore can't be considered taxable by Finland?
Essentially Grok's second point.
