@John_Dee14 Trading Stevenson and Singer help the '27/'28 Reds much more than they will help the '26 Reds. I don't understand the urgency around a couple of the other guys but those two should have absolutely been dealt.

This @Jaguars performance is par for the course for an organization that took 7 years to realize a mid-level finance staffer stole $20 million from them.

@John_Dee14@LanceMcAlister You are correct... But with the current roster composed of McLain, EDLC, Marte, Steer, and one of those prospects, you have more than your infield covered for now. Moving any of them to the outfield sacrifices the hit tool of a corner outfielder that could have been acquired imo.
@John_Dee14@LanceMcAlister What kills me is that 3 of the reds top 14 prospects are shortstops (2 of top 8 and 2 overall). If the reds plan to retain Elly, those are all expendable trade pieces. The fact they weren't dealt could mean nothing, but I fear means that the reds have no plans to retain EDLC.
@John_Dee14 Totally agree about Bell. But we have 2-3, maybe 4 years of Elly. He's the biggest difference maker since... Who? He's a Boras client, isn't resigning in Cincinnati and you can't blame him, IMO. Injuries this year need to be acknowledged in fairness but this FO needs to act soon.
