FEELING NOSTALGIC. 😔 I honestly believe Australians born in the 1940s, 50s & 60s grew up through one of the best periods this country has ever known.
We didn’t have much by today’s standards, but somehow we had plenty.
We rode our bikes everywhere, played cricket in the street, kicked the footy until dark and disappeared for hours without our parents needing to know exactly where we were.
We knew our neighbours. Kids played outside. Families spent time together.
Life seemed simpler, safer and a lot less complicated.
For many ordinary working families, owning a home was achievable. One income could often keep a family going.
We weren’t surrounded by mobile phones, social media, constant notifications and a 24-hour news cycle telling us what to worry about next.
What a time to grow up!
We watched television arrive, saw Australia change enormously, and lived through one of the greatest eras of music the world has ever known.
We grew up with The Beatles!!!
The Beatles, Elvis, The Rolling Stones, The Easybeats, the Bee Gees… music that is still being played more than half a century later.
We probably didn’t appreciate it at the time.
We were too busy living it.
Today we have technology our parents couldn't have imagined & conveniences we could only have dreamed about.
But sometimes I wonder whether, somewhere along the way, we made life more complicated without necessarily making it happier.
Those of us who grew up in Australia in the 50s, 60s, 70s & 80s were a very fortunate generation indeed.
We had freedom.
We had community.
We had opportunity.
We had fun.
And occasionally, if we weren't feeling well, Mum gave us Bex mixed with honey on a teaspoon.
What a bloody good time to be a kid in Australia.
Angus Taylor putting down Pauline Hanson and One Nation is the final straw. Pathetic!
I’ve voted Liberal all my adult life, but the party today is completely unrecognisable .
Instead of attacking a pathetic Labor government, the Coalition is sitting on the fence, terrified of its own shadow, and acting like a party that has forgotten what it is supposed to stand for.
The Labor-lite moderates have completely castrated the conservatives.
No plan for the future.
No backbone. No fight.
Just a bunch of people trying to survive the present while real Aussies look elsewhere.
"Newsflash" to the Liberal frontbench. One Nation is winning over real Aussies every single day.
Why? Because people are fed up with weak politicians, selfish infighting, and a Coalition that seems more interested in attacking the right than Labor.
If Angus thinks alienating One Nation voters is the strategy, he’s signing the Coalition’s death warrant. Stop now!
Toughen up.
Stop the selfish infighting.
Work together to get Labor out. It’s for the sake of Australia.
Get a spine, or get out of the bloody way once and for all.
AUSTRALIA'S NOT CHANGING BY ACCIDENT. IT’S DELIBERATE!
Most Australians haven't heard of the organisation whose philosophy shapes Labor politics in Australia, the “Fabian Society.”
It’s an old political think-tank linked to "Labor" Prime Ministers "Whitlam through to Albanese".
Its strategy isn’t sudden revolution. It’s gradual change through government policy, bureaucracy, regulation and expanding state control.
No dramatic takeover.
Just Australia being transformed, brick by brick, while ordinary people are distracted, silenced or told
“ Don't worry about it.”
It’s “socialism by stealth.”
Australians need to know:
Who is reshaping our country, what is their ultimate goal, and when did we ever vote for it?
The Liberals & Nationals are fighting the wrong battle.
Watching the Coalition attack One Nation while Labor runs rampant is like watching a bloke paint his fence while his house is on fire.
The Libs have drifted so far left since Abbott left that they’ve forgotten their base.
Stop fighting your own side and start listening, or you’ll be eating a massive slice of humble pie come election night while Labor laughs all the way back into office.
Don’t let Albanese and Burke end the RC early.
In fact, "Extend the Royal Commission" on Antisemitism and Social Cohesion.

The very woke, left-wing AFL gave Izak Rankine a 4-game suspension over his “faggot” comment to a Collingwood player. Four games.
For name-calling!
He was also ordered to complete further “Pride in Sport” education training.
Absolutely ridiculous!!
That is now the AFL’s "baseline" for offensive name-calling.
So, where does the AFL go from here after what has happened with the five Sydney Swans players?
Victoria Police are currently investigating an allegation of sexual assault at the hotel where the Swans were staying.
To be absolutely clear, none of the five suspended Swans players has been accused or charged with sexual assault, and the police investigation is separate.
However, the Swans themselves have banned all five players for the rest of the season, including finals, for “breaching club behavioural standards” by drinking late and bringing women back to their hotel.
That is one hell of a ban, especially at finals time.
My point is this:
The AFL has now created a standard where words on a football field can cost a player four games.
So surely serious off-field breaches of behavioural standards must also attract game penalties from the AFL itself?
What happens next year?
What will these five young men get from the AFL?
We will see.
It is a very sad situation all round.
But I’m over the AFL and all the woke virtue-signalling they have bought into our beloved Aussie Rules football.
Footy used to be footy.
It doesn’t need to become another vehicle for political and social lectures.
It’s not the direction we need our footy to go.
The AFL has set the standards.
Now let’s see if they apply them consistently.
