@SpiritOfSankofa Apathy is a real issue. But I bet if you asked them what Pan Africanism is they would not be able to answer it. I always say Any movement rooted in the material betterment of Black life is worth all of our time. We don’t have to agree on every detail.
@GodKingJustice “Communism is a white man’s creation to solve his own political and economic problems. It suggests the enthronement of the white working class over the capitalistic class of the race.” Marcus Garvey - Message to the People
@HotepDoobs This book is amazing. He argues America is so anti black that we really only have one response which is to stand up to white authority. He doesn’t back down from anyone in this one.
@SpiritOfSankofa They created the program Malcolm built but did not have the chance to start. I love Revolutionary Suicide so much. Also shoutout to Marcus Garvey with the OG Aims and Objectives written in Message to the People.
@rodimusprime@KcStork We can now see white and black leftists/socialist making the grave mistake of trying to delegitimize black political power. Marx is western theory. Their theory is flawed at the foundation.
@rodimusprime@KcStork “Marxism is a Western construction-a conceptualization of human affairs and historical development that is emergent from the historical experiences of European peoples mediated, in turn, through their civilization, their social orders, and their cultures.” - Cedric Robinson

“A land of contradictions and cruelty is our foundation. A land made home for white male property owners. And as we make sense of what is happening in this country, history tells us that this is a long and vicious fight.”
@SpiritOfSankofa Because, and looking at my records I think he was the first black voice saying “give to your race and be loyal to your first”. He was also teaching black folks how to be strategic in politics by withholding information and positioning themselves. That’s dangerous!
@SpiritOfSankofa Here’s a quote i love:
“What we need is confidence in ourselves, so that as blacks and Africans we can be conscious, united, independent and creative.”
Walter Rodney - Groundings with my brothers.
