Kenya’s Koko shuts down after carbon credit dispute with the government
The company sold bioethanol fuel and stoves at heavily subsidised prices made possible by revenue from carbon credit sales abroad.
This will affect thousands of Kenyans leaving on a hand-mouth basis since the price of LPG is 10x this.
Most displaced wakulima wadogo customers will likely fall back on Charcoal (higher indoor pollution, health risks), kerosene (expensive and polluting) and maybe LPG/cooking gas (safer but much higher cost).
@KResearcher I remember the late Ngei whose picture was in the media wrestling Mbolu to the ground in Parliament complaining bitterly that the pictures in the media wrongly showed Mbolu on top of him when in reality it was him Ngei who was on top of Mbolu 😂😂
Between 2006–2015, thousands of Kenyan children were born HIV positive. Fast forward → they’re 18–25 today, sexually active, in our campuses, estates & clubs. Nobody talks about it, but are we ready for the silent wave that could follow???
Since independence, governments in DRC have relied on white mercenaries to suppress local movements seeking to challenge its tyranny, corruption and incompetence. For the first time in its history, the people of Congo, through M23, have neutralized this foreign threat. Here, 288 Romanian mercenaries who surrendered to M23 are counted and sent back to Europe, a pathetic and dejected lot. All the forces Kinshasa has assembled to protect itself from its own citizens have failed - the UN, the South African army, the white mercenaries etc. It is now time for Felix Tshisekedi to realize the futility of his approach. A military solution against M23 is not possible. Only a peaceful political solution will work. M23 are read to talk. Is Tshisekedi willing to do similar?

H.E. President @edmnangagwa takes time off from his leave to meet the Zimbabwean inventor, Maxwell Chikumbutso, at State House.
Chikumbutso has come up with groundbreaking technology that uses radio waves to power generators, motorbikes and motor vehicles through a microsonic energy device, which converts radio frequencies to pure energy. The microsonic device was designed by Chikumbutso. The radio frequency used occurs naturally and is available anywhere on earth and on sea.
The products, which have generated a lot of interest worldwide, will be launched on the 10th of February in Zimbabwe.
The motor vehicle named the Saith, was developed in partnership with a Chinese company which provided the vehicle shell and basic components. It has unlimited drive range and a top speed of 220km/h. It also features a self park and drive system and the manufacturing costs stand at US$14 000 per unit. Plans are underway to set up a vehicle manufacturing plant in Zimbabwe for vehicles using this technology.
President Mnangagwa praised Chikumbutso as a brilliant inventor whose invention has never been seen before anywhere in the world, making it a first of its kind. The President said such talent needs to be cultivated and nurtured for the benefit of the nation. He further described it as a perfect actualisation on the mantra Nyika Inovakwa Nevene Vayo.

The strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don’t always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time.
“She saw Marriage as a business, she got married to me for few years, divorced and took 50% of my lifetime savings . All her money and properties was not in her name“ Tyrese Gibson
“50 cent warned me, he told me that if you are someone that loves so deep, then this generation is not for you, but I didn’t listen. When she asked for Divorce and took everything, 50 cent still didn’t leave me, he offered me a role in his movie “POWER”. That’s how I bounced back and started hustling again. Sadly, no one cares how you feel as a man, but I told myself that I’ll not act tough. I had to cry. Men need to start speaking up too. The society needs to know that men cry too and get hurt”. Tyrese Gibson
