I HAVE GOOD NEWS FOR ONCE!!!
The Charlotte NC high school that painted over a student's tribute to Charlie Kirk, called the police on her, and then publicly branded the 16-year-old girl a VANDAL in front of her entire school...
...has just been forced to pay her $95,000!!!!!!
Her name is Gabby Stout, she was a junior at Ardrey Kell High School.
Days after Charlie Kirk was assass*nated, she got PERMISSION from the front office to paint the school's spirit rock, a tradition kids have used for years.
She painted a heart. An American flag. "Freedom 1776." And "Live Like Kirk ... John 11:25."
Within HOURS, the school painted over it.
Then the principal emailed the ENTIRE school calling it VANDALISM, claiming she broke the code of conduct, and announcing they had called LAW ENFORCEMENT to open a criminal investigation.
They pulled this teenage girl out of class again and again and then MADE HER WRITE A CONFESSION!!!!
They demanded her PHONE so they could search her call logs.
For painting a rock. With permission.
So her family sued. And they WON.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools now has to pay $95,000, publicly clear her name, and admit in writing she did NOTHING wrong.
But not only that... they were forced to adopt a brand new student free speech policy because of her.
THIS is how you fight back.
GOD BLESS GABBY STOUT!!!!!!
Here's another massive thank you - this one goes out to the incredible staff at the Shenandoah County Animal Shelter. You are truly angels in disguise.
When I picked Lucy up, it was clear she had been well cared for. She’d been bathed, fed, and loved on. You even went out of your way to replace her ruined bed with a new one, and she’s already claimed it like it’s always been hers.
You took a heartbreaking situation and did everything you could to make it a little softer for her. That kind of kindness doesn’t go unnoticed.
The Shenandoah County Animal Shelter runs almost entirely on donations. If you’re able, they could really use your help. Here’s their list of needed items and their Amazon wishlist:

The outpouring of generosity we’ve received from people across the country and around the world has been overwhelming. If you have it in your heart to help the shelter the same way you helped us, these folks would be deeply grateful.
There’s one moment from the day we picked Lucy up that I’ll never forget. As we were getting ready to leave, it finally hit her that she was going home. She was excited, but also emotional. Before she took that first step toward the door, she turned around and went back to nuzzle the woman who had cared for her these past two months. One last, gentle thank you.
That small gesture said everything about the kind of people who work there.
To every staff member at the Shenandoah County Animal Shelter: thank you. From the bottom of our hearts.
I'm too spent to offer much of an update, but she's home. She's where she needs to be. There was one final twist, which I will tell you about later. It might be meaningful down the road and it is mingling my relief with a sense of disquiet. But she's home. Thank God.
Court in just over an hour.
Thank you God, for making me low, because that is where I found you. Be with my dog. If it be your will that Lucy is reunited with her family, make it so. If not, give us the strength to endure and to better discern your will for our lives.
Amen.
No Lucy tonight. I'm sorry for taking you all on a roller coaster ride today. I really thought there was no way she'd still be locked up at this point. I was certain I would have happy news to share today. I was wrong.
I got an email from my attorney telling me that the DA has in fact submitted the signed order to the judge, so what we are looking at is not malice, but bureaucratic lethargy, which is actually a much more pernicious problem in America, because it is so prevalent and accepted as the way things have to be done. It isn't.
Lucy will come home though. For now, I'm going to focus on Snuggles.
#SaveSnuggles
"I will wear a muzzle. I will wear a harness. I will wear two leashes at all times. I'm not dangerous, but I will do all the things that a dangerous dog would be expected to do, without complaint. Just let me come home."
If Lucy could talk, that's what she'd say.
#SaveLucy
Six weeks.
SIX FLIPPING WEEKS.
Lucy has not heard our voices. She hasn't slept on her rug. She hasn't gone for a ride in the truck. She hasn't been snuggled by her family, played with Lex, or run free in her own field.
SIX WEEKS.
She's been locked in a tiny cell, sleeping on concrete, likely wondering why we abandoned her.
SIX WEEKS.
She's eleven years old. She doesn't have endless time ahead of her. She could get sick. Her health could fail. Every day matters.
And while everyone moves at a snail's pace, without a care in the world, time keeps slipping away from MY DOG—the dog who was taken because a petty neighbor decided to call the authorities when she slipped out of her collar in our OWN YARD!
This wasn't some outrageous act! This wasn't a purposeful violation of anything and didn’t cause incident. This wasn't the terrifying incident the neighbors or government would like people to believe it was.
It was a normal, everyday occurrence that happened on our private property!
We could have lied. We could have denied it happened. No one had proof otherwise:
But that's not who we are.
So for six weeks, my Lucy—my eleven-year-old dog who stood watch over our family through deployment after deployment, who kept me company during the lonely nights when I watched the news and wondered if my husband would make it home alive—has sat in prison.
This is a sick abuse of the law, and an innocent animal is paying the price.
Not for biting someone.
Not for attacking someone.
Not for leaving and roaming the neighborhood.
For being in her own yard.
Let that sink in.
And because malicious neighbors refused to mind their own business, and because officials with the power to do the right thing have refused to exercise any bit of common sense, she remains there.
They make me sick.
The abuse of power makes me sick.
The character assassination makes me sick.
The lies make me sick.
The fact that people who have never met us, never spoken to us, and don't know the first thing about our family have spent years trying to destroy our peace makes me sick.
Enough is enough!
Let Lucy come home already! Is this really the hill anyone wants to die on? It’s a single dog. It’s an average family. Send her back and leave us alone. That’s all we want.
And for those who have participated in this injustice—whether through malice, cowardice, pride, or indifference, know this:
God sees every bit of it.
He knows the truth.
And one day, every one of us will answer to Him.
Until our Lucy is home and beyond. We will not stop fighting.

This video broke me.
Snuggles’ family showed up at the shelter with birthday cake from one of Snuggles’ dog brothers party, hoping Snuggles could at least celebrate from afar after almost 8 MONTHS locked away from everyone he loves.
In this video you will see:
• his mom
• his two young boys
• and even the children’s grandmother, who was the bite victim and is STILL fighting to save him
You can hear the pain in Snuggles’ mom’s voice. The tears. The heartbreak. A mother desperately trying to find out how her dog is doing after nearly 8 months of separation while her children stand beside her missing their best friend.
They were not allowed to see Snuggles.
They were not given updates on his health or condition.
Imagine being separated from your dog for almost 8 MONTHS with no hugs, no cuddles, no visits, no reassurance, and no idea how he’s doing.
This family is heartbroken, and two little boys are missing their protector and best friend.
Please watch. Please share. Please help us fight for Snuggles.

If it wasn't for @Herb_Minstrel, we would never have had moments like this. This little homestead idea was not mine, it was hers. In fact, I always fought it.
You can guess who - thankfully - won that fight.
Here's a fight I won't lose: the fight to #SaveLucy
Friends, please, please, please.
We woke up to a war online, and this is NOT what we’re about. We have never wanted to expose or destroy our neighbors, and while we knew the truth would eventually reveal itself, we MUST let Jesus take this. We do not need to heap the coals ourselves. We need to know where to put our efforts.
And as far as the DA goes, please, I beg you—for the sake of Lucy—be kind. As my husband’s message has been through this entire #savelucy movement, SHOW GRACE. We do not answer suffering with more suffering.
“Do not repay evil for evil or insult for insult, but on the contrary, repay evil with blessing.” — 1 Peter 3:9
As Veterans, especially on Memorial Day, my husband and I know deeply what real suffering and sacrifice in this world look like. It is our responsibility to be peacemakers wherever we can.
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.” — Matthew 5:9
This does NOT mean we stop fighting for justice. It does NOT mean we stop speaking truth. But we must stay focused on the goal: bringing our sweet girl Lucy home.
That is the prize. Everything else will be dealt with strategically and with wise counsel.
We want Lucy back. We want protection for our family. We want to become a resource so this never happens to another family again.
Friends, be warriors today. Be brave. But be discerning and USE YOUR WORDS WISELY. Sometimes the loudest and most effective thing you can do is stand down… and LET GOD fight the battle.
Your support, your prayers, your encouragement, and your financial contributions for the long legal battles ahead have already been more powerful than any tossed stone ever could be. So don’t throw stones.
“If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals of shame on their heads.” — Romans 12:20
With gentle hearts, steady hands, discernment and wisdom, we CAN bring Lucy home.
And we will.
Leave the rest to God. Justice will be had.
Thank you all for being incredible. We know how much you love Lucy and how much you love our cause. We will not let this go for a waste.
Today, reflect. Honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for this country and the freedoms we enjoy.
Happy Memorial Day from our family to yours. 🇺🇸
28k posts? Now that's what I call trending.
@elonmusk and @realDonaldTrump, Lucy is the next Pnut, but her ending hasn't been written yet.
Bring the country together. #SaveLucy
The DA needs to let Lucy come home. She's done more time than many accused murderers. This is already grossly disproportionate to whatever happened last month - an event over in seconds, that hurt nobody, and occurred entirely in my own yard.
My own damn yard.
She wants this to blow over, but I will not let it. I. WILL. NOT. LET. IT. Not until Lucy is home and the charges are dropped.
She no doubt feels like the victim here. I'm sure she doesn't like the bad PR. But there's one victim here: Lucy. The DA can make all of this end by making the right decision to exercise prosecutorial discretion and drop the case.
Only a handful of Stasi-like creeps support continued prosecution of this case. It is a 99 to 1 issue.
99 to 1.

Today was a rollercoaster. @Herb_Minstrel and I went on air with #SeanHannity to talk about our fight to #SaveLucy. That was one of the highest honors of my lifetime. Thank you, Sean.
Then I spoke with the DA. That was also an honor, but the experience was more difficult. I can honestly that she's the kind of DA I wish we had more of in America. That said, Lucy remains in her cell. I have a strong feeling, however, that I'll be posting a story someday soon in which the DA will feature as one of the heroes.
Sad that Lucy is not back, but still moving forward. Will write more about both experiences, but for now I'm emotionally spent.
Sorrowful, but still rejoicing.
#SaveLucy
I hate the spotlight. The stage is a scary place. I just want a quiet life. But this cause is worth it. Lucy is worth it.
This is not just about Lucy. What has happened to me and Lucy will happen again.
It will repeat, over and over. In Kalamazoo, Michigan. In Walla Walla, Washington. In Schenectady, New York. To Joe and Buddy. To Mike and Sadie. To Jane and Teddy.
It will happen to them, but nobody will know. They will love their dogs no less than I love Lucy, but nobody will hear their story. It will not steal the spotlight the way Lucy's story has.
They will cry out for justice, but it will be in vain. Few will listen. Few, but the Lord above will.
God put Lucy and me in the spotlight to be their voice. To advocate for Joe, Mike, and Jane. To advocate for Buddy, Sadie, and Teddy. To push for change.
Lord, let me live up to the responsibility you have placed on my shoulders.
This crap needs to never happen again. Never, never, never, never, never.
