To enhance water access and support agricultural productivity in Mumbuni North Ward, I have today commissioned the Kyondu Weir, a key investment aimed at addressing water shortages for thousands of residents and improving livelihoods within the community.
The project will provide a reliable source of water for domestic use, livestock, and irrigation, reducing the distance residents travel in search of water while supporting year-round farming and food production. Through such transformative projects, we are empowering our people and strengthening local economies.
I urge the national government to take urgent steps to lower fuel prices, as the continued increase is placing a heavy burden on ordinary Kenyans.
Families, businesses, and transport operators are all feeling the strain, with the cost of living rising beyond the reach of many. It is important that immediate interventions are made to cushion citizens and ease the economic pressure being experienced across the country.
