You’ve got to be somewhat crazy to build a car with no steering wheel, no pedals, tell the world it’s going to do all the driving, aim to build 2 million of them a year, and believe it’s truly the answer to solving autonomy.

Then take it one step further by building a company worth over $1+ trillion and bet its entire future on that vision.

Most CEOs collect a guaranteed paycheck no matter what. Elon on the other hand tied his entire compensation to super ambitious long-term company goals, which fully depends on Tesla achieving them… otherwise he doesn’t get a single dime.

Whether you like him or not, think he’s right or wrong… very few people would risk that much on an idea almost everyone is calling impossible.
