Rising young star at fixed and reasonable cost at a premium position; so much more valuable than a first-round pick (which they also got).
Factoring in contract, Verse is one of highest value players in NFL.

@JackDuffin Does an insurance claim affect how Watson’s contract applies to the cap? Doesn’t Watson get paid either way? Is the contract voided if a claim is paid?

@ProFootballTalk @HOTTSistotle Mike, I do believe you’re talking out of your ass. I need to see something that shows how an insurance claim payout affects the year-to-year cap. It WOULD help Haslam’s pocketbooks, but unless it voids the contract itself, Watson still gets paid.
