You cleared JAMB
I got recommended.
You got UNIVERSITY,
I got NDA.
You pursued your degree,
I had the toughest training.
Your day started at 7 and ended at 5,
Mine started at 4 till 9 and
Some nights also included.
You had your convocation ceremony,
I had my POP.
Best company took you and
Best package was awarded,
I was ordered to join my platoon
With 2 stars piped on my shoulders.
You got a job,
I got a way of life.
Every eve you got to see your family,
I just wished i got to see my parents soon.
You celebrated festivals with lights and music,
I celebrated with my comrade in bunkers.
We both married,
Your wife got to see you everyday,
My wife just wished i was alive.
You were sent to business trips,
I was sent on line of control.
We both returned,
Both wives couldn't control their tears, but
You wiped her but,
I couldn't.
You hugged her but,
I couldn't.
Because I was lying in the coffin,
With medals on my chest and,
Coffin wrapped with tricolour.
My way of life ended,
Yours continued.
We both left home at 18.

I dedicate this to every soldier and uniform person out there, we don't understand what you do and the sacrifices you make, but know that we are eternally grateful!

Dangote dropped petrol to ₦739 per litre......And Nigeria went silent.🤦🙆

No transport fare drop. No food price relief.

No easing of pressure. Nothing. Is it fair?

But let that same price rise to ₦1000 per litre tomorrow, and watch madness unfold.

Before the fuel truck even parks, prices would spike 200–300% across the board. The madness is incomprehensible..

Why are we like this? 🤦🙆

Why do we fight every attempt to make life easier for ourselves? I just taya..

Sometimes, I wonder if the government we complain about isn’t simply a reflection of who we are.

Because this behaviour didn’t start in Aso Rock; it starts in markets, motor parks, estates, and supermarkets.

Out of absolute nothing, you now need ₦400,000 for a 45-minute flight from Lagos to Owerri.

By road? ₦80,000 for a GUO bus ride... Why?

House rents have lost all shame. They just attach crazy amounts.. No basis.

Supermarket prices look like a crime scene.

And here’s the irony that exposes everything:

Petrol price is steady. Forex rate is relatively steady... So why?

These were once the sacred barometers.

Now they suddenly “don’t matter.”

This is no longer economics. This is not inflation logic. This is deliberate cruelty.

We don’t just suffer, we enjoy making each other suffer.

Nigerians loathe Nigerians.

TROOPS THWART MASSIVE TERRORIST NIGHT ATTACK ON CHIBOK COMMUNITIES

Troops of the Nigerian Army have successfully thwarted a planned midnight attack on Chibok communities in Borno State. The attack, launched by over 300 terrorists from multiple fronts, began at about 0250 hours (2:50 a.m.) today and was decisively defeated through swift intelligence, tactical manoeuvre and superior firepower by troops of 28 Task Force Brigade.

The troops, who were on alert, detected early enemy movement, enabling them to quickly assume battle positions and engage the terrorists from multiple fronts. The fierce firefight lasted for over two hours, during which the gallant soldiers held their ground firmly and prevented the terrorists from breaching the security of the adjoining towns.

The terrorists, on observing the break of day, started a disorderly withdrawal towards the Azir axis into the Sambisa Forest, attempting to cross the Main Supply Route Damboa–Biu. In response, 25 Brigade was tasked to occupy pre-designated ambush positions ahead of Azir Bridge to cut off and neutralize the fleeing terrorists, with guidance provided by a Nigerian Army Unmanned Aerial Vehicle.

The Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI deployed a Super Tucano aircraft and as the advancing interdiction forces closed in, the terrorists dispersed. Troops subsequently disrupted their withdrawal. No personnel or equipment was lost, underscoring the high level of combat readiness, professionalism and resilience displayed by the forces involved.

While exploitation operations in and around Chibok remain ongoing, the Nigerian Army assures the public that concerted efforts are being intensified to track down escaping elements and deny them freedom of movement. The footage of the mass withdrawal of terrorists after the failed attack has been obtained and is being analyzed for further operational action.

The Nigerian Army reaffirms its relentless commitment to defending Nigeria’s territorial integrity and ensuring the safety of all citizens.
