Calling for a Return to the Doctrines and Kingdom Ethics of the First Reformation

@tallaksenk No repentance, no salvation. And both repentance and faith are ongoing not just a one-time event.

@TheDemSlayer I was waiting for the American flag. The 'exceptional' nation is geopolitical sociopath, its actions undermine all its supposed values and ideals. It is a rogue state, murder inc., with millions of dead lying at its feet. It is in Biblical terms a Beast-power akin to Assyria.

@CliffordDMay I think the Serbs and Libyans might have a different take on NATO as a 'defensive' alliance.

The Eastern Front of WW2 has been downplayed in the west and thus the way it looms over Russian thinking is not understood. US actions in the 1990's in Russia also provide a clue.

Here's my comments on another attempt by a New Calvinist to argue for Cultural Christianity and its supposed benefits.

In reality, the heresy of Cultural Christianity undermines the gospel, redefines Christianity, and erects a counterfeit kingdom.

@AntiJihadclasss Is that supposed to be an objective statement? And what does the term 'success' even mean in a Materialist framework? How can such a concept have any actual meaning? Where is the evidence for 'success'?

[Proto-Protestanism / The Pilgrim Underground @JohnProtop32122]

@SaltyGoat17 And I believe there are pink elephants in tutu's dancing on the surface of the moon!

Life would be easy if we could all just live in a fantasy world.

[Proto-Protestanism / The Pilgrim Underground @JohnProtop32122]

@residentreformr Excellent and thus the post-Crucfixion and post-Resurrection Jews are not God's people, not sons of Abraham.

That doesn't mean we hate them, but we don't affirm them as the people of God and we sure don't support their sacrilegious national aspirations, aka Zionism

[Proto-Protestanism / The Pilgrim Underground @JohnProtop32122]

@army1325air False Christianity and Mammonism

[Proto-Protestanism / The Pilgrim Underground @JohnProtop32122]

@AntiJihadclasss It depends on how you define success.

Matt 7.13-23 - narrow is the gate.... and there are few who find it.

Luke 18.8 - when the Son of Man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

even 2 Esdras 8.1 - The most High hath made this world for many, but the world to come for few.

Journalists and officials who dare to take on the American Empire gamble with their lives.

@pomsrule5 True enough, but my experience in most Evangelical churches is about the same. And it's also clear that you're not really understanding what is happening and as such your commentary is (at least in part) misinformed.

[Proto-Protestanism / The Pilgrim Underground @JohnProtop32122]

@marshasteams I hope so. They should if they actually care about the country. For my part, as a NT Christian, I would like to see his cult broken and scattered to the wind.
At that point, we (Christians) can turn to the MAGA cultists that have infiltrated the Church and call them to account.

And yet another example of the same delusion....

Another study in delusional thinking and bad theology....

@RickyDoggin Like the members of the MAGA-cult, Obama is a phony Christian and a capitalist - you're delusional if you think he's either a Marxist or a Muslim.

[Proto-Protestanism / The Pilgrim Underground @JohnProtop32122]

@HazelLiaqa4848 Drunken rape and war crimes. He's a delightful chap!
And while some apparent think he's good at faking Christianity, I for one am not fooled for even one second.

[Proto-Protestanism / The Pilgrim Underground @JohnProtop32122]

@DrFrankTurek But there's no suggestion that Christians are to oppose the state helping the poor? Where would we find that in the NT?

[Proto-Protestanism / The Pilgrim Underground @JohnProtop32122]

@BoLoudon What countries in Europe have become 3rd world?

[Proto-Protestanism / The Pilgrim Underground @JohnProtop32122]

@afshinrattansi Trump is the ugliness of US imperialism with its mask off. He makes the middle class suburbanites with their Ken Burns whitewashed history uncomfortable because they can't hide behind the platitudes and the official framing. The sick brutality of it all stares them in the face.

[Proto-Protestanism / The Pilgrim Underground @JohnProtop32122]

@Cobra92064 Trump is responsible for the high gas prices and he's a rapist, criminal, murderer, and serial adulterer.

You better follow through if you took an oath to God.
