It was also a privilege to attend a commemoration at Douvres La Delivrande Commonwealth war graves cemetery when the majority of the Royal Ulster Rifles casualties of the Normandy campaign are buried.

Over two days Cadets visited the Pegasus bridge museum Omaha American war cemetery and Sword beach.
We also became familiar with Cames-en-Plaine the sports and community centre and the village which has such huge connections with the Royal Ulster Rifles during operation Overlord.
